A seat switch device performing an operation on the component of a vehicle seat according to the present invention includes an operation unit attached in a movable manner so as to be located at a plurality of operation positions. The operation unit is configured to accept an operation input when the operation unit is located at each of the operation positions as an operation on each of the component of the seat for the vehicle located corresponding to a positional relation of the operation position.

The animation may further include representing the passage of time by the sequential movement of the plurality of objects such that movement of the last object in the sequence is determined to coincide with the initial estimated arrival time, and selectively responding to only some updated estimates to arrival time by modifying the animation such that the movement of the last object in the sequence is determined to coincide with the update.

An exhaust pipe extends rearward of a vehicle body from an engine located forward of the rear wheels and is supported on the vehicle body frame. An exhaust muffler is coupled to a rear end of the exhaust pipe that is arranged between a pair of right and left rear wheels. A catalytic converter (catalytic device) is installed in the middle of the exhaust pipe and the exhaust pipe is deviated to one side in a horizontal direction of the vehicle body with respect to the engine and the exhaust muffler in order to position the catalytic convertor between the vehicle body frame and the rear wheels.

A tire track indicator system is provided that couples physical tire tracks to headlights of a vehicle. The tire track indicator system of the vehicle includes an angle monitor that determines a steering direction of the vehicle. The tire track indicator system also includes an illumination source and a lens that directs at least a portion of light in the steering direction and provides an indication of a travel path of the vehicle. A direction of at least the portion of light is altered based on a corresponding change to the steering direction. Further, the indication includes at least one lens that outputs respective colors based on a set of contexts of the vehicle.

A method and vehicle system for reducing driver distractions caused by a head-up display (HUD). The HUD projects one or more graphic elements onto a windshield in view of a driver of the vehicle. The vehicle system determines whether the content status of the one or more projected graphic elements satisfies a driver distraction criterion. System and method for minimizing driver distraction of a head-up display (HUD) in a vehicle

One or more embodiments of techniques or systems for content management are provided herein. In one or more embodiments, a user may preconfigure a device with preset stations or favorite stations, such as via an application on the device. The device may be utilized to synchronize a vehicle with the preset stations or favorite stations. In one or more embodiments, merely preset stations may be accessible on the vehicle during some scenarios to promote safe driving. For example, in such scenarios, merely the preset stations may be marked or defined as a favorite. In one or more embodiments, presets or favorites may be presented or organized based on characteristics of a user or other attributes, such as the time of day. In this manner, content management may be provided while promoting safe driving.

A system for warning of potential hazards when driving a vehicle has a sensor coupled to the vehicle capturing data of objects located around the vehicle. A control unit is coupled to the sensor processing the data captured by the sensor and generating graphical representations of the objects captured by the sensor and warning indicators alerting a diver of the vehicle to the objects. The control unit calculates projected paths of the objects and a projected travel path of the vehicle. The warning indicators generated when a specified projected path of a specified object and the projected travel path intersect. A heads-up display (HUD) displays the graphical representations of the objects and the warning indicators. The warning indicators are positioned on the HUD in directions toward each associated object.

System and method for warning a driver of pedestrians and other obstacles

A drive mode selection system for a vehicle is provided that includes a drive mode selector that can facilitate selection of a current drive mode from among a plurality of drive modes of the vehicle based at least in part on input from a driver of the vehicle. Each of the plurality of drive modes can be associated with a distinct visual indicator. Additionally, the system can include a mode indication component that can display the current drive mode of the plurality of drive modes by providing the distinct visual indicator associated with the current drive mode. The system can further include a mode recommendation component that can recommend a drive mode of the plurality of drive modes based at least in part on the current drive mode and data received from one or more sensors.

A display device includes a first projector, a second projector, a first half mirror, a second half mirror and a reflection unit. The first projector is positioned with respect to the first half mirror such that the first rays are transmitted through the first half mirror in a given direction. The second projector is positioned with respect to the first half mirror such that the second rays are reflected by the first half mirror in the given direction. The reflection unit reflects the first rays and the second rays from the first half mirror to the second half mirror. The second half mirror reflects the first rays and the second rays from the reflection unit along the line of sight. The reflection unit further includes a reflector-projector that reflects the first rays and the second rays toward the second half mirror and projects third rays toward the second half mirror.

A shift system for a vehicle is provided that includes a shift component that facilitates shifting between gears of a transmission of the vehicle and a shift indicating component that displays a position of the shift component. The shift indicating component includes a transparent cover that facilitates a three-dimensional effect and illuminating sources that illuminate below the transparent cover adjacent to a gear indicating mark corresponding to a position of the shift component. The transparent cover provides a minor like reflection for the illuminating sources thereby providing the three-dimensional effect.

A system and method for displaying a vehicle backup image are presented. The system includes at least one camera supported by the vehicle. The camera creates an image of a vehicle environment in which the vehicle is disposed. The image includes a first image section of a first portion of the vehicle environment and a second image section of an adjacent second portion of the vehicle environment. A display operatively connects to the camera to receive the first and second image sections. The display includes a first display section having a first display surface displaying the first image section and disposed at a first angle. Three-dimensional vehicle backup camera display system and method

A display device generates a combined display that is viewable by the driver of a vehicle. The combined display may be composed of a plurality of displays, wherein one or more overlaying displays appear partially or completely in front of a first display, each overlaying display having an opaque portion that conveys information and a substantially transparent portion through which the first display is viewable. One or more monitors may generate the first display and overlaying displays. A monitor may be divided into multiple screens to generate a plurality of the displays. A screen that generates the first display may be directly viewable by the driver, while the screens the generate the overlaying displays may be outside the driver's line of sight. The display device may include one or more reflecting surfaces and one or more refracting surfaces for directing the overlaying displays into the driver's line of sight.
