A stylet which comprises a stylet assembly body and a connector for connecting the stylet to a catheter. The stylet body has a piece of wire bent double and twisted together to form a rounded end serving as a distal end at one end. The connector has a stylet connecting part for holding a proximal end of the stylet body. The connector also holds the catheter to prevent the catheter from slipping from the stylet during use.

Stylet and connector therefor

A medical tube made of an organic polymer having a mechanical loss tangent of at least 0.5 at body temperature and a modulus of transverse elasticity of 1-1000 MPa at body temperature. The medical tube of the present invention can be easily inserted into the body, and gives less pain and less feeling of physical disorder during indwelling in the body or removal from the body.

Medical tube

An apparatus for the self-dosing of a liquid medicine. The apparatus includes a chamber formed in a casing for receiving a liquid medicine to be self-dosed by a patient, with an inlet and outlet port formed to communicate with the chamber free from leakage of the medicine. The apparatus further includes a piston fitted liquid-tightly in the chamber, a push button attached to and adapted to actuate the piston and which is capable of being pressed by the patient a desired number of times corresponding to an amount of liquid medicine to be dosed, and a spring urging the piston towards its home position. After the patient presses the button and removes his hand from the button, the spring forces the piston backwards to its home position and the resulting negative pressure causes a subsequent smooth refilling of the chamber. The apparatus, which is a simple structure and can be manufactured at a low cost, can be employed in an integrated system for the self-dosing of the liquid medicine.

Apparatus and system for the self-dosing of a liquid medicine

An artificial tubular organ composed of a tubular supporting frame made of a plastic material which is provided on at least one surface therefore with a medical prosthetic material. The supporting frame is composed of a plurality of ring portions arranged on an axis, and a plurality of pairs of connecting portions extending between adjacent two ring portions so as to connect them to each other, every other pair of the connecting portions being diametrically arranged on the ring portions, the remaining pairs of the connecting portions being arranged such that a plane containing their center lines is perpendicular to a plane containing the center lines of pairs of diametrically arranged connecting portions. The medical prosthetic material may be a woven fabric, a knitted fabric, a nonwoven fabric, or a combination thereof. Preferred fabric includes absorbable macromolecular yarns and nonabsorbable macromolecular yarns.

Artificial tubular organ

A liquid infusion device comprising a bladder assembly, an approximately tubular housing, and a liquid-drug-dispensing portion. The bladder assembly comprises a rod-like inner shaft, a tubular outer shaft slidably encasing the inner shaft, an inner shaft supporter, and a bladder made of elastic material and placed outside two shafts. The housing contains the bladder assembly and has an inlet/outlet portion at an end of the housing. The inner shaft supporter has at least one port for liquid drug communicating with the inlet/outlet portion. An amount of liquid drug remaining in the bladder can be greatly reduced, since a clearance between the inner shaft and outer shaft can be made very small.

Liquid infusion device

A liquid infusion device comprises a bladder assembly and a flow-regulating portion. The bladder assembly comprises a tubular outer shaft, an inner shaft slidably received within the outer shaft and a bladder covering the outer and inner shafts. The bladder can inflate in both its radial and axial directions whereby reducing the residual amounts of a liquid drug in the bladder on dispensation of the liquid drug. The flow-regulating portion comprises a pipe having at least one small hole or a pipe having a very small diameter, so that the accurate regulation of the liquid drug can be performed.
