A vehicle includes a transmission which has a first oil pump driven by rotation of a drive source that drives a drive wheel and a second oil pump provided with a check valve on a suction side and driven by a motor. In a vehicle control device for controlling the vehicle, a minimum value of a drive current value of the motor is defined as a first current value, when the second oil pump is driven in a normal drive state, and a minimum rotation speed of the drive source is increased compared to a case in which the drive current value of the motor is equal to or larger than the first current value, when an automatic downshift control for automatically downshifting a speed ratio of the transmission is executed in a case in which the drive current value of the motor is smaller than the first current value when the second oil pump is driven.

Vehicle control device

In a vehicle control device for controlling the vehicle, when automatic downshift control for automatically downshifting a speed ratio of the transmission is executed in the case where a drive current value of the motor obtained when the second oil pump is driven is larger than a maximum value of the drive current value of the motor obtained when the second oil pump is driven in a normal drive state, the vehicle control device increases a minimum rotation speed of the drive source compared to a case where the drive current value of the motor is equal to or less than the maximum value, and when the automatic downshift control is executed in the case where a line pressure generated by a hydraulic pressure supplied from the first oil pump and the second oil pump is larger than a predetermined value, the vehicle control device does not increase the minimum rotation speed of the drive source even in the case where the drive current value of the motor obtained when the second oil pump is driven is larger than the maximum value.

Abnormal state diagnosis method for oil temperature sensor of automatic transmission

An automatic transmission has a transmission control section performing a control so that a transmission ratio defined as input rpm/output rpm of the automatic transmission becomes a target transmission ratio, a slip control section slip-controlling a frictional engagement element in the automatic transmission so that the input rpm becomes a value obtained by multiplying the output rpm by the target transmission ratio also adding a predetermined slip revolution speed; and an abnormality judgment section judging abnormality in the automatic transmission. When the slip-control is not in progress, if an actual transmission ratio is out of a predetermined range of the target transmission ratio, the abnormality judgment section judges that abnormality occurs. When the slip-control is in progress, if a value obtained by correcting the actual transmission ratio on the basis of the slip revolution speed is out of the predetermined range, the abnormality judgment section judges that abnormality occurs.

Control apparatus for automatic transmission having fail-safe function during vehicle stop

An automatic transmission control system is provided with a disengagement malfunction determining section and a disengagement malfunction preventing section in an automatic transmission in which the frictional engaging elements are selectively engaged and disengaged to change a rotational speed of a main power source. The disengagement malfunction determining section determines a disengagement malfunction with a first frictional engaging element from among a plurality of frictional engaging elements of the automatic transmission. The disengagement malfunction preventing section prevents disengagement malfunction of a second frictional engaging element from among the frictional engaging elements of the automatic transmission by lowering the rotational speed of the main power source to a level which will prevent the disengagement malfunction in the second frictional engaging element, when the disengagement malfunction determining section determines that the disengagement malfunction of the first frictional engaging element exist while the automatic transmission is in non-running range.

Automatic transmission control system

There is provided a fail control apparatus for an automatic transmission, which, in the event of a friction element failure, is capable of coping with the failure by identifying a failed part without erroneous determination and within a short time. The set gear ratio of a designated gear position at the time of failure and the actual gear ratio are compared with each other to determine whether a friction element has failed, and an alternative gear position which enables a vehicle to start moving again is designated based on the determination result. In determining a failed friction element, one friction element disengaged or engaged due to failure is identified only when the designated gear position is the first speed gear position which is achieved by engaging one low clutch and a one-way clutch. It is therefore possible to determine the details of failure with accuracy and properly set an alternative gear position.

Fail control apparatus for automatic transmission

In an automatic transmission control system and method, an electronic control unit is programmed to output a command to establish another gear stage different from the gear stage at the time of occurrence of fault-induced disengagement by combination of engagements of the friction elements other than the friction elements to be engaged at the time of occurrence of fault-induced disengagement, and simultaneously output a plurality of commands to establish a plurality of gear stages corresponding to combination of engagements of the friction elements to be engaged and disengaged, respectively, at the gear stage at the time of occurrence of fault-induced disengagement, when the gear stage at the time of occurrence of the fault-induced disengagement is a predetermined gear stage and the friction element undergoing the fault-induced disengagement is not determined.
