A heat exchanger has a core plate connected to a tank member by clamping claws. The tank member has a waved outer surface including outer ridge portions and outer valley portions which are disposed alternately. The tank member also has a waved inner surface including inner ridge portions and inner valley portions which are disposed alternately. The outer valley portions are capable of receiving the claws. The inner ridge portion is positioned inside the outer valley portion in a width direction. The inner ridge portion is positioned between the adjacent tubes and/or between extensions of the tubes in a height direction. An inner width of the tank member regulated by the inner ridge portions is narrower than a width of the tube.

Heat exchanger

In a heat exchanger, when louvers are viewed from an airflow direction, a louver tip end width becomes shorter with increase of a louver height. A fin width of the fin is 14 mm or shorter. Airflow-end louver lengths of an upstream-end first louver, a downstream-end first louver, an upstream-end second louver, and a downstream-end second louver are '&#x215d;&#xd7;LP' or longer, where LP is a louver pitch.

Heat exchanger and manufacturing method thereof

A heat exchanger includes tubes and a tank. The tubes extend in a first direction, and are stacked in a second direction. The tank has a tube insertion plate part, and is arranged at an end portion of the tubes. The tube insertion plate part has tube holes in which the tubes are inserted, and ribs extending in a third direction that is approximately perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction. The tube hole has end portions in the third direction. The rib are arranged to overlap with the end portion of the tube hole in the second direction, and to provide a deformable part to be deformable in the first direction. The deformable part is located in the tube insertion plate part outside of the ribs in the third direction.

A cooling device boiling and condensing refrigerant includes a refrigerant container, a header tank, and tubes between the refrigerant container and the header tank. In the cooling device, each of the refrigerant container and the header tank has a stack structure constructed by stacking plural plates. Each plate is a press member formed by punching a metal plate using a press die. Accordingly, each capacity of the refrigerant container and the header tank can be readily changed in accordance with a thermal load, and the plates having the same shape can be used in common for both the refrigerant container and the header tank.

Cooling device boiling and condensing refrigerant

In a cooling device boiling and condensing refrigerant, a heat conductor portion for thermally connecting a heat reception wall and a heat radiation wall defining a closed container is disposed in the closed container, a heat-generating member is attached on the heat reception wall, and a heat radiation fin for radiating heat generated from the heat-generating member to an outside is provided on the heat radiation wall. In the cooling device, both ends of the tube are connected to the closed container at different position of the heat radiation wall to communicate with the closed container, so that the heat radiation fin is enclosed by the heat radiation wall and the tube.

A cooling apparatus boiling and condensing refrigerant is constructed to have a stacked construction by stacking a plurality of pressed members and comprises a refrigerant tank portion, a heat exchanging portion and a refrigerant diffusing portion. First openings for passing refrigerant and second openings for passing cooling water are formed in the pressed members used for the heat exchanging portion and the first openings communicate with internal spaces formed in the refrigerant tank portion and the refrigerant diffusing portion. According to the construction, as the cooling apparatus has the stacked construction, tubes and fins that constitute a conventional heat dissipating portion can be eliminated.

A first intermediate plate C adjacent to a heat receiving plate A and a second intermediate plate D adjacent to the first intermediate plate C are provided so that the slit width of the openings (first opening ) in the first intermediate plate C is wider than that (second opening ) in the second intermediate plate D. In this way, when the first intermediate plate C and the second intermediate D are stacked, a tunnel structure is formed in which the opening dimension L (the opening dimension of the second openings ) of the communicating sections through which the first openings and the second openings communicate with each other is smaller than the length L (the opening dimension of the first openings ) of the tunnel portions (L >L ). Therefore, a heat-generating member with large density of heat generation can be effectively cooled.

Cooling apparatus boiling and condensing refrigerant with improved tunnel structure

An elongate tubular refrigerant container has a barrier which partitions its internal space into a heat-generating member side path and a heat radiating path , so that refrigerant vapor evaporated by the heat-generating member is separated from the condensate that circulates after being cooled in the heat radiating section . The barrier includes a heat insulating space which does not communicate with the internal space that stores a refrigerant. The refrigerant is prevented from boiling in the heat radiating section side path and the condensate that circulates from the heat radiating section and the refrigerant vapor do not collide violently with each other because the heat of the refrigerant vapor in the heat-generating member side path is prevented from being transferred to the liquid refrigerant in the heat radiating section side path

Cooling apparatus boiling and condensing refrigerant

According to the present invention, a cooling apparatus using boiling and condensing refrigerant, includes a fluid separating plate for separating a high-temperature fluid from a low-temperature fluid, a refrigerant tank disposed on the side of the high-temperature fluid from the fluid separating plate, a refrigerant sealed into the refrigerant tank, a pair of communication pipes, one end of which is communicated with the refrigerant tank hermetically, a condensing portion communicated with the other end of the communication pipes and disposed on the side of the low-temperature fluid from the fluid separating plate, and a heat insulating material as a high-temperature portion-side heat insulating material coated on the outer periphery of the high-temperature-side communication pipe. In this way, it is possible to suppress a heat conduction from a high-temperature portion (high-temperature air) to the high-temperature-side communication pipe. As a result, it is possible to prevent the descending refrigerant which has been condensed and liquefied in the radiator from receiving heat from the high-temperature portion through the high-temperature-side communication pipe to receive an ascending force in the high-temperature-side communication pipe.

Cooling apparatus using boiling and condensing refrigerant

A boiling and cooling apparatus is provided which has a refrigerant tank for maintaining a liquid refrigerant for boiling when it receives heat from a heating body, a radiator which receives refrigerant vapor boiled in the refrigerant tank. The radiator cools refrigerant vapor to form the liquid refrigerant by exchanging heat with an external fluid. The radiator includes a first passage for receiving the refrigerant vapor and a second passage for returning condensed liquid to the refrigerant tank. The radiator has an upper space which provides communication between the first passage and the second passage, whereby the refrigerant vapor is guided to flow preferentially into the first passage.

Boiling and cooling apparatus

A cooling device for cooling a heat radiation member disposed in a sealed space includes a heat exchanger in which high-temperature air within the sealed space exchanges heat with low-temperature air outside the sealed space, and first and second centrifugal fans for blowing high-temperature air and low-temperature air into the heat exchanger, respectively. Each of the first and second centrifugal fans is disposed in an upstream side space of the heat exchanger at a side position shifted from center so that a large air-blowing space can be provided within the upstream side space. Thus, high-temperature air and low-temperature air blown by the first and second centrifugal fans can be uniformly introduced into the heat exchanger, respectively.

A heat exchanger is constructed by laminating rectangular shaped partition walls and corrugated fins alternately. A first fluid passage through which a high temperature internal air and a second fluid passage through which the low temperature external air flows are formed into rectangular parallelopipe-shape the longitudinal direction of which is upper and lower direction. The corrugated fin is disposed inside the fluid passage to incline frontwardly. A first fluid inlet is provided at an upper position and a first fluid outlet is provided at a lower position of the first fluid passage. While, a second fluid inlet is provided at a lower position and a second fluid outlet is provided at an upper position of the second fluid passage. That is, the first fluid and the second fluid flow in an opposite direction to each other. Therefore, because the fluid introduction area of the corrugated fin is large in comparison with that in a conventional counter-flow type heat exchanger, the pressure loss of the fluid is suppressed, and the corrugated fin does not tend to be choked with a dust or the like.

According to the present invention, a cooling apparatus includes a refrigerant tank composed of at least a couple of thin plate materials facing each other and bonded together at bonding parts thereof, a heating body mounted on an outer surface of the thin plates, refrigerant sealed in the refrigerant tank for absorbing heat generated by the heating body, the refrigerant vaporizing in the refrigerant tank, a heat radiator mounted on the refrigerant tank in fluid communication therewith for condensing and liquefying boiling vapor ascending from the refrigerant tank, and a refrigerant flow control plate composed of a plate material and disposed in an upper part of the refrigerant tank in contact with the thin plate materials facing each other. The refrigerant flow control plate partitions an inside of the refrigerant tank into a vapor outlet and a liquid inlet. The vapor outlet is defined by one surface of the refrigerant flow control plate and the thin plate materials facing each other to flow out the boiling vapor boiled and ascending within the refrigerant tank into the heat radiator, and the liquid inlet is defined by the other surface of the refrigerant flow control plate and the thin plate materials facing each other to introduce the condensed liquid into the refrigerant tank.
