A simulation control sectionof an NC machining simulation apparatuscomputes a movement path of a mechanical element when performing simulation. A ring buffermemorizes the movement path of the mechanical element. In response to a replay instruction, the simulation control sectionreads the movement path from the ring buffer. The simulation control sectionthen displays the mechanical element on a display deviceas a solid model based on the movement path for replaying the simulation.

Simulation apparatus and method for NC machining

An NC device includes an accumulation portion for accumulating a report-item corresponding to a report-requiring situation that occurs in a machine. A voice generator control section of the device operates a voice generator to generate a voice for announcing a report-item accumulated by an accumulation portion if a determination portion determines that a operator-in-range information has been generated or in response to a request produced by a request portion. Contrastingly, the voice generator control section does not permit the voice generator to generate the voice if the determination portion determines that the operator-in-range information has not been generated. In this manner, the voice generation is performed efficiently and the operator is reliably informed of the report item.

NC device

An automatic programming apparatus includes a process division control section, which automatically divides a machining process executed to obtain a predetermined product shape from a material shape of a workpiece. The process division control section computes a removal shape, which is a shape to be removed from the material shape when executing the machining process, based on the material shape and the product shape. The process division control section defines a reference machining boundary that intersects a reference axis defined on the product shape and divides the volume of the removal shape into two equal parts. The process division control section defines, on the removal shape, a process division boundary that intersects the reference axis based on the reference machining boundary and the profile of the product shape. The machining process is divided into a first process and a second process with the process division boundary.

Method and apparatus for automatically dividing machining process in automatic programming apparatus

In a machine tool having plural coordinate systems and having controlled objects controlled on the basis of those coordinate systems, a coordinate system data memory storing dimensional information corresponding to each coordinate system as a coordinate system data is provided. A coordinate relation memory storing the coordinate position relation information by which the position relation among plural coordinate system is specified is also provided. If the controlled object corresponding to each coordinate system is driven, the coordinate system data is read from the coordinate system data memory when the coordinate system data belonging to the coordinate system except the coordinate system in which the controlled object is driven is needed. The read coordinate system data is converted from the coordinate system to which the corresponding coordinate system data belongs into the other coordinate system to which the controlled object belongs on the basis of the coordinate position relation information in the coordinate relation memory, and the controlled object is controlled on the basis of the converted coordinate system data.
