A process for producing a partially or completely crosslinked olefinic rubber composition which comprises (A) 1 to 99 parts by weight of an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer having ethylene units and C-C&#x3b1;-olefin units, and (B) 1 to 99 parts by weight of an olefinic resin, total amount of (A) and (B) being 100 parts by weight, said (A) having a degree of crosslinking of 50% or more and a degree of swelling of 5 to 40.

Olefinic rubber composition

A thermoplastic crosslinked rubber composition comprising (A) from 1 to 99 parts by weight of a hydrogenated rubber obtained by hydrogenating not less than 50% of total double bonds of at least one homopolymer rubber of a conjugated diene type monomer or a random copolymer rubber consisting of a conjugated diene type monomer unit and an aromatic vinyl monomer unit and (B) from 1 to 99 parts by weight of an olefinic thermoplastic resin, total amount of (A) and (B) being 100 parts by weight, said (A) being partially or completely crosslinked, wherein said (A) is crystalline rubber, having a crystallization temperature in a range of from &#x2212;50 to 70&#xb0; C. and a heat quantity of crystallization at peak in a range of from 3 to 100 J/g in differential scanning calorimetry (DSC method).

Thermoplastic crosslinked rubber composition

A vulcanized rubbery polymer composition comprising a component (A) and a thermoplastic resin (B), wherein the component (A) comprises a hydrogenated copolymer (A-1), which is obtained by hydrogenating a copolymer comprising a conjugated diene monomer unit and an aromatic vinyl monomer unit and having an aromatic vinyl monomer content of not less than 5% by weight and not more than 90% by weight, and which has a crystallization peak calorie measured by a differential scan calorimetry of not more than 2 J/g, and at least one vulcanizable rubber (A-2) selected from the group consisting of a copolymer (a1) comprising an ethylene unit and an &#x3b1;-olefin unit of 3 to 20 carbon atoms and a hydrogenated rubber (a2) obtained from a homopolymer rubber of at least one conjugated diene monomer or a copolymer rubber comprising a conjugated diene monomer unit and an aromatic vinyl monomer unit and having an aromatic vinyl monomer content of less than 5% by weight.

Rubbery polymer composition

A vulcanized thermoplastic olefinic rubber composition comprising at least one vulcanizable rubber (A) selected from the group consisting of ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymers, which contain an ethylene unit and a unit of an &#x3b1;-olefin having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, and which are produced with use of a metallocene catalyst, and an olefinic resin (B), wherein X and Y as defined below of said (A) are from 1 to 40% and from 0.02 to 0.5, respectively,=(2/0)&#xd7;100(%)2/1wherein Wis a weight of a swollen vulcanized rubber (A), which is obtained when (A) in an amount of Wis extracted with hot xylene, and Wis a weight measured after drying of the above-mentioned swollen vulcanized rubber (A).

An elastomer composition comprising a softening agent (A) comprising a naphthenic hydrocarbon and optionally at least one selected from the group consisting of an aromatic hydrocarbon and a paraffinic hydrocarbon, and an elastomer (B) comprising a crosslinkable elastomer, wherein said softening agent (A) has a ratio of an amount of the paraffinic hydrocarbon Cand an amount of the naphthenic hydrocarbon C, C/CN, which are specified by ASTM D2140-97, of not less than 0 and not more than 1.5, and an amount of the aromatic hydrocarbon Cof not less than 0% and not more than 5% based on an amount of hydrocarbons in the whole softening agent.

An olefin polymer composition, which comprises a cross-linked olefin polymer composition comprising at least one cross-linking rubber like polymer (A) and an olefin resin (B), the cross-linking rubber like polymer (A) being selected from the group consisting of (1) an ethylene-&agr;-olefin copolymer, which contains an ethylene unit and an &agr;-olefin unit having 3 to 20 carbon atoms, and which is produced using a metallocene catalyst, and (2) at least one hydrogenated rubber selected from the group consisting of a homopolymer of a conjugated diene monomer and a copolymer thereof, in which rubber not less than 50% of all olefinic double bonds are hydrogenated, wherein the cross-linking rubber like polymer (A) has a weight average particle diameter of from 0.01 to 3 &mgr;m.

An elastomer composition obtained by crosslinking 1-99 parts by weight of a crosslinkable rubber-like polymer (A) and 1-99 parts by weight of a polypropylene resin (B) &lsqb;the total amount of (A) and (B) being 100 parts by weight&rsqb;, where (B) is a crosslinking type polypropylene resin, has a flexural modulus of 100-10000 kgf/cm as specified in JIS K6758 and has a melting point peak in the range of 100-150&deg; C. in differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), the melting point peak calorie being in the range of 10-600 J/g, especially the above elastomer composition wherein (A) has a crosslinking degree of 1-95% and a swelling degree of 3-100.

A method for producing a rubber composition crosslinked to a crosslinking degree of 50% or higher by mixing a crosslinkable rubber (A) and a thermoplastic resin (B) and crosslinking the mixture with a crosslinking agent (C), wherein the crosslinking agent (C) is divided and added in parts to sequentially carry out the crosslinking in which the crosslinking is carried out to a crosslinking degree of 5-45% by the first addition of the crosslinking agent (C) and furthermore the crosslinking is carried out to a crosslinking degree of 50% or higher by further addition of the crosslinking agent (C).

Method for producing rubber composition

A vulcanized, olefinic elastomer composition comprising (A) 1 to 99 parts by weight of an ethylene-&agr;-olefin copolymer prepared using a metallocene catalyst which copolymer comprises an ethylene unit and an &agr;-olefin unit having 3 to 20 carbon atoms and (B) 1 to 99 parts by weight of a polypropylene resin, provided that the total amount of the components (A) and (B) is 100 parts by weight, wherein (C) a polyorganosiloxane having a dynamic viscosity at 25&deg; C. of at least 5,000 centistokes is contained in a proportion of 0.01 to 20 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of a total of the components (A) and (B).

A thermoplastic rubber composition prepared by crosslinking 1-99 parts by weight of a crosslinkable rubbery polymer (A) and 1-99 parts by weight of a polypropylene resin (B) (total amount of (A) and (B) being 100 parts by weight), wherein said (B) comprises a polypropylene resin (B-1) characterized by generation of a torque higher than M after melting and a polypropylene resin (B-2) characterized by generation of a torque not higher than M after melting, in a melting test of said (B) in the presence of an organic peroxide (temperature condition being at 200&deg; C.), and M being a torque right after complete melting.
