A monitoring region for monitoring entry of an obstacle is set around a machine main body. A plurality of obstacle sensing sensors sense an obstacle in the monitoring region and sense an obstacle in different directions with respect to the machine main body. A construction machine accumulatively stores approach information indicating that an obstacle has been sensed by any of the plurality of obstacle sensing sensors in a specific period, and outputs the approach information to be displayed on a display device.

Cooling apparatus for construction machine

A construction machine includes: an engine room provided with an intake opening and a discharge opening; a fan for sucking cooling air into the engine room through the intake opening; a duct provided in the engine room so as to communicate with the discharge opening and discharging the cooling air sucked into the engine room to an outside of the engine room through the discharge opening; and an exhaust gas pipe guiding exhaust gas discharged from the engine into the duct. A portion on a distal end side of the exhaust gas pipe is inserted into the duct, and the inserted portion of the exhaust gas pipe inserted into the duct is formed with an exhaust hole which causes the exhaust gas to be discharged in a direction different from a flowing direction of discharge wind in the duct through the exhaust hole.

Construction machine

A construction machine includes: a lower propelling body; and an upper slewing body which is slewably mounted on the lower propelling body. The upper slewing body includes: an engine room provided with an intake opening and a discharge opening; a duct provided in the engine room so as to communicate with the discharge opening; and an exhaust gas pipe which guides exhaust gas discharged from the engine into the duct. The discharge opening and an outlet of the duct are open downward from the engine room. A portion on a distal end side of the exhaust gas pipe is inserted into the duct. The duct and the exhaust gas pipe are configured to cause the exhaust gas to be mixed with cooled air in the duct and cause the mixture of the exhaust gas and the cooled air to be discharged downward from the discharge opening.

Disclosed is a construction machine comprising an engine room having first and second exhaust ports, preventing deterioration of air flows due to collision of exhaust airs through the first and the second exhaust ports, and reducing noise transmission on lateral sides of the construction machine. The construction machine comprises an engine guard surrounding an engine room; an engine, a heat exchanger, and a cooling fan, which are installed in the engine room; and an exhaust air guide. The engine guard is formed with exhaust ports including the first and second exhaust ports. The first is opened in parallel to an axial direction of an engine output shaft. The second is formed in proximity to the first exhaust port downstream of the first exhaust port with respect to a direction parallel to the axial direction of the engine output shaft and opened upward below the first exhaust port. The exhaust air guide has a shape to change a flow direction of the air discharged through the first exhaust port in parallel to the axial direction of the engine output shaft into an upward direction at a position upstream of the second exhaust port.

Construction machine provided with engine room

To improve soundproof performance on an air intake side of a cooling structure of a construction machine without enlarging an air intake chamber. An air intake chamber is provided on the air intake side of a heat exchanger in an engine room, and a first air intake port is formed in a top face of the air intake chamber. In the air intake chamber, a duct independently formed as a shield member is disposed so as to partition the air intake chamber into two chambers, and also such that the core surface of the heat exchanger is enclosed airtightly from the surrounding atmosphere. A second air intake port is formed in the duct; thereby, the air intake chamber is constituted in a doubled duct structure, and air sucked from the first air intake port is guided through an air intake passage to the core surface of the heat exchanger, the air intake passage being bent so as to be roughly L-shaped.

Cooling structure of construction machine

Engine noise of a construction machine is effectively reduced without reducing cooling performance and with an increase in the height of a body cover kept minimum. To achieve the above, an air-intake opening portion () and an air discharge opening portion () are arranged in a body cover () of an upper rotating body (), and a cooling fan () in an engine room covered by the body cover () is driven, taking cooling air in from the air-intake opening portion () to cool a heat exchanger () in the body cover () and discharging the air from the air discharge opening portion (). The air-intake opening portion () is laterally offset from a position facing to a ventilation surface of the heat exchanger (). Alternatively, plural air-intake opening portions are located in a scattered manner such that the plural air-intake opening portions include the offset air-intake opening portion offset from the ventilation surface of the heat exchanger ().

A construction machine includes an engine guard, an engine, a cooling fan, and a device for being cooled by the cooling fan, and an exhaust duct. The engine guard accommodates the engine and has intake and exhaust openings. The intake opening and the exhaust opening are disposed in different side covers. The side covers correspond to the left and right side walls of the engine guard. The engine, the cooling fan, and the device are accommodated in the engine guard. The exhaust duct is disposed above and behind the engine, parallel with the flow of a fan air which has been used for cooling the engine, and substantially horizontally. The exhaust duct has an exit connected to the exhaust opening. The fan air introduced from the intake opening flows substantially linearly along the cooling fan, the engine, and the exhaust duct and is discharged from the exhaust opening.
