The alloy structure contains Fe and at least four elements, which are selected from the group consisting of elements from atomic number 13 to atomic number 79 included in Group 3 to Group 16 of the periodic table of the elements and have a ratio of the atomic radius to an Fe atom of 0.83 or more but 1.17 or less, each of Fe and the four elements is contained in an atomic concentration range of 5 at % or more but 30 at % or less, a difference in atomic concentration between at least four elements among the at least four elements and Fe is in a range of less than 3 at %, and the alloy structure has, a column crystal in which the at least four elements and Fe are solid-dissolved.

Mechanical strength of a composite material is enhanced by a simple process. In a composite material comprising a resin or a rubber and an oxide glass, the resin or the rubber is dispersed in the oxide glass, or the oxide glass is dispersed in the resin or the rubber. The composite material has a function that the oxide glass is softened and fluidized by electromagnetic waves.

Mechanical strength of a composite material is enhanced by a simple process. In an electronic component including two substrates at least one of which is transparent, an organic member arranged between these substrates, and a bonding portion located onto respective outer circumferential portions of the two substrates, this bonding portion includes a low-melting glass and filler particles. The low-melting glass includes vanadium oxide. The filler particles include a low thermally-expandable material, and an oxide containing a bivalent transition metal as a constituent element. The oxide is dispersed in the low thermally-expandable material, and the low thermally-expandable material has a thermal expansion coefficient of 5&#xd7;10/&#xb0; C. or less in a temperature range from 30 to 250&#xb0; C. This invention makes it possible to heat the filler particles by irradiation with a laser to give the electronic component which is a component having a highly reliable bonding portion.

There is provided a rare earth separation method for separating a first and a second groups of rare earth elements contained in a magnet, the method including: a starting powder preparation step from the magnet; a magnet component oxidation heat treatment step; a rare earth oxide separation step from the magnet components oxide powder; a powder size optimization step; a chlorinating agent mixing step; a chlorination/oxychlorination heat treatment step of forming a 'first group rare earth chlorides'/'second group rare earth oxychlorides' mixture; a selective dissolution step of selectively dissolving the first group rare earth chlorides in the solvent and leaving the second group rare earth oxychlorides undissolved in solid phase form; and a solid-liquid separation step.

The display device includes the plurality of light-emitting elements each having a flat surface portion and including a light-emitting layer, an anode, and a cathode; a plurality of driver elements each coupled to the light-emitting element; a plurality of capacitor elements each of which is coupled to the light emitting element and receives an image signal; a plurality of switching elements each of which is coupled to the capacitor element and the light emitting element and control input of the image signal to the capacitor; and an insulation layer having a contact hole formed over the driver element. The anode is formed on the insulation layer and coupled to the driver element via the contact hole.
