An iron-base sintered part having high density and totally enhanced strength, toughness and abrasion resistance, a manufacturing method of the iron-base sintered part, and an actuator are disclosed. The iron-base sintered part is formed by an iron-nickel-molybdenum-carbon-based sintered alloy, has density of 7.25 g/cmor more, and has a carburization quenched structure. A method for manufacturing the iron-base sintered part includes a molding process of charging a raw mixture powder of an iron-nickel-molybdenum-based metal powder and a carbon-based powder into a cavity of a molding die and compressing the raw powder in the cavity to form a consolidation body, a sintering process of sintering the consolidation body at a sintering temperature to form a sintered alloy, and a carburization quenching process of heating the sintered alloy in a carburization atmosphere and quenching the heated alloy.

Iron-base sintered part, manufacturing method of iron-base sintered part and actuator

A metal part in which a base material of silicon-aluminum alloy having 1 to 25% by mass of silicon as an anode is immersed in an electrolyte together with a cathode, and at least a portion of a surface of the base material is anodized and coated with an anodic oxide film. A current density provided to both the anode and the cathode is increased from an initial current density of 0 A/dmat a rate between 0.15 and 0.35 A/dmper minute, wherein once the current density reaches a prescribed current density of between 0.8 A/dmand 1.2 A/dm, the current density provided to the anode and the cathode is maintained at the prescribed current density.

Metal part and method of manufacturing metal part

A friction clutch includes an iron inner clutch plate and two iron outer clutch plates. Each clutch plate has a sliding surface that friction-engages with the other clutch plates. A diamond-like carbon film containing silicon, which functions as a solid lubricant, is formed on the sliding surface of each outer clutch plate through a conventional method such as plasma chemical vapor deposition. The diamond-like carbon film contains 1 wt % to 80 wt % of silicon. A coupling device includes a pilot clutch mechanism that has the friction clutch and an electromagnetic actuator. As a result, the friction clutch has an improved resistance to wear, and the coupling device is durable.

A drive force transmission device has an outer clutch plate and an inner clutch plate, which are rotatable relative to each other about a common rotational axis. The inner and outer clutch plates become frictionally engaged with each other with lubricant oil provided in between. The outer and inner clutch plates each have a sliding surface. The sliding surfaces face each other. A diamond-like carbon film is formed on the sliding surface of the outer clutch plate. Fine grooves are formed in the sliding surface of the inner clutch plate. The proportion of the sliding area to the sliding surface of the inner clutch plate at the initial stage of use is 55 to 90%.

Drive force transmission device

In a grinding wheel for use in a grinding machine, a plurality of grinding tips are bonded on the outer peripheral surface of a wheel core having a disk-like shape by bond. On both side surfaces of the wheel core are formed with depressions continuous with the outer peripheral surface of the wheel core. Bond is filled between the outer peripheral surface and the grinding chips, and filled in the depressions of the wheel core to form a bonding layer. Namely, the bonding layer has side portions which extends along both side surfaces of the wheel core in a radial direction.

Segmental grinding wheel

A dressing apparatus for dressing an electroplated grinding wheel by crushing the top portions of the abrasive grains thereof. The abrasive grains are diamond grains or CBN grains. A role made of ceramics, or a ferrous role holding diamond grains on its outer periphery is used for crushing the abrasive grains. The grinding wheel is rotated in one direction and the role is rotated in the opposite direction so that the difference in surface speed between the role and the grinding wheel becomes substantially zero. The role is then advanced toward the grinding wheel to crush the top portions of the abrasive grains, so that the heights of the abrasive grains are roughly equalized, and many sharp cutting edges are formed at the top portions of the abrasive grains.

Method and apparatus for dressing an electroplated grinding wheel

A grinding wheel for use in a grinding machine, wherein a plurality of grinding tips are bonded on the periphery of a wheel core having a disk-like shape using a bond which forms a bonding layer between the wheel core and the grinding tips. The grinding wheel is further provided with means for preventing coolant from entering inside of the abrasive layer and/or bonding layer, thereby preventing the bonding layer from being swelling by the coolant. In a first embodiment, the preventing means is composed of rubber layers formed on the both side surfaces of the grinding wheel at the places corresponding to the radial position of the bonding layer. In another embodiment, the preventing means is composed of water-repellant material capable of repelling water. Such material is composed of silicon or fluorine resin and is soaked into the grinding tips.

Segmentee grinding wheel

A method for teaching a machining line to be machined is disclosed. A borderline is formed along the machining line on a workpiece. Then, a borderline sensor is moved across the borderline at each sensing position. The positions of the sensor are stored as a teaching position at each time when the borderline is detected by the sensor. The sensing interval between each teaching position is automatically adjusted according to the change in the curvature of the borderline. At the place where the curvature of the borderline becomes large, the sensing interval is shortened in order to maintain teaching accuracy.
