Provided is a method for a user equipment (UE). The method comprises acquiring a downlink control information (DCI) configured for multiple-physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) scheduling; determining, based on the number of PDSCHs scheduled by the DCI, whether a codebook group (CBG)-based operation is enabled for the scheduled PDSCHs; and determining, based on the number of PDSCHs scheduled by the DCI, a format of the DCI.

Codebook group-based operation with multiple-physical downlink shared channel scheduling

A cellular base station (BS) which determines an aperiodic sounding reference signal (SRS) triggering offset configuration specifying an offset between an aperiodic SRS trigger received by a user equipment (UE) and transmission of the SRS by the UE. The cellular base station may determine that the SRS triggering offset should be adjusted. In response, the cellular base station may transmit signaling to the UE specifying a new value for the aperiodic SRS triggering offset. The new SRS triggering offset value may be partly based on a minimum timing offset for the UE and may be contained in a medium access control (MAC) control element (CE) or in downlink control information (DCI). Additionally, the new triggering offset value may be applicable for a plurality of component carriers or bandwidth parts. The cellular base station may also determine a new triggering offset value due to conflicts regarding the AP-SRS transmission.

Dynamic configuration of aperiodic sounding reference signal offsets in cellular communications systems

A user equipment (UE) is connected to a special cell (SpCell) that is configured to schedule the SpCell and a secondary cell (SCell) that is configured to schedule the SpCell. The UE determines a number of blind decodes (BDs) and a number of control channel elements (CCEs) that may be configured for the SpCell and monitors a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) for downlink control information (DCI) scheduling the SpCell that is transmitted by the SpCell and DCI scheduling the SpCell that is transmitted by the SCell.

Enabling multiple cells to schedule a special cell

Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing a beam pairing procedure between a transmission UE and a receiver UE. The transmission UE and the receiver UE can configure a set of beam patterns to be used in the beam pairing procedure. The set of beam patterns can include one or more transmission beams of the UE, and one or more receiving beams of the receiver UE. The transmission UE can transmit one or more sidelink reference signals to the receiver UE, and the receiver UE can perform signal strength measurements of the one or more sidelink reference signals. Based on the signal strength measurements, either the transmission UE or the receiver UE can make the selection of the transmission beam and the corresponding receiving beam for the beam pairing procedure.

Mechanisms for user equipment beam pairing on sidelink communication

The present application relates to devices and components including apparatus, systems, and methods providing transmission power controls in support of expanding a network coverage. In an example, a device is configured to expand the network coverage and establishes multiple wireless links between a base station and a user equipment (UE). Systems and methods for associating phase tracking reference signal (PTRS) and demodulation reference signal (DMRS) ports for multi-beam physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmissions are described herein. A base station may provide, to a user equipment (UE), PTRS and DMRS port associations for the multiple beams on which the PUSCH is transmitted. In some cases, a 2-bit downlink control information (DCI) field may be used to alternatively provide single beam or multiple beam PTRS and DMRS port associations to a UE. For non-codebook (NCB) based transmissions, the UE may alternatively determine PTRS and DMRS port associations for multiple beams independently of any PTRS and DMRS port association indicated in DCI.

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for a wireless device to perform beam management procedures with a base station. A wireless device in communication with a 5G base station may perform measurements and determine constraints relevant to beam selection. A recommended uplink beam may not correspond to a recommended downlink beam.

In some embodiments, the method of wireless communication at a User Equipment (UE) comprises: receiving, from a base station, configuration information for configuring a default beam for the physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) to use on condition that an offset between reception of downlink control information (DCI) in the scheduling physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) and corresponding PDSCH is less than a threshold and at least one Transmission Configuration Indicator (TCI) states includes spatial receiving parameters for configuring a quasi-co-location; configuring, by the UE, a default beam configuration for the PDSCH based on the configuration information and a monitored control resource set (CORESET) with a lowest CORESET identifier (ID) from among a set of CORESETs in a latest slot in a same bandwidth part (BWP), wherein at least one CORSET of the set of CORESETs includes more than one TCI state; and receiving a transmission using the default beam.

Default beams for PDSCH, CSI-RS, PUCCH and SRS

An approach to providing an indication of the availability of tracking reference signal (TRS) and/or channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) occasions. Channels for carrying the indication include system information block (SIB) signaling, paging physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), and paging early indications. Various approaches are described that provide the information, including a number of bitmap approaches, a hierarchical informational approach, a dynamic signal indication that carries configuration indices. Additional approaches are described that reduce unnecessary overhead by specifying certain reference signal (RS) occasions as being available.

Methods for indicating the availability of the reference signal for idle/inactive user equipments

In 5G/New Radio (NR), sidelink communication refers to a channel for communications directly between devices, e.g., user equipment (UEs), without use of traditional uplink or downlink communication channels. Sidelink Control Information (SCI) is separated into two stages (i.e., SCI stage 1 and SCI stage 2) before being transmitted to configure a user device. A method for configuring sidelink communications for a wireless device includes: obtaining SCI Stage 2 payload information; attaching and distributing cyclic redundancy check (CRC) information to the payload information; performing encoding and rate matching (RM) on the payload information; scrambling the encoded and rate matched payload information; performing modulation on the scrambled payload information; determining a resource mapping for the modulated payload information, wherein the modulated payload information is aggregated across two or more slots (e.g., using different processing operations for at least two slots); and transmitting the modulated payload information according to the determined resource mapping.

The techniques may include the use of multiple beams in conjunction with performing beam failure recovery, for example including identifying multiple candidate beams for beam failure recovery. A cellular base station, comprising: at least one antenna; at least one radio coupled to the at least one antenna; and a processor coupled to the at least one radio; wherein the cellular base station is configured to: provide a Radio Resource Control (RRC) message to a wireless device; and provide a Channel State Information-Reference Signal (CSI-RS) to the wireless device via one or more ports based on the RRC message, wherein, the RRC message at least indicates one or more of: information on a density of the CSI-RS, information on time domain locations of the CSI-RS, information on a subset of ports for the wireless device to measure the CSI-RS, and information on a subset of Code Division Multiplexing (CDM) groups for the wireless device to measure the CSI-RS.
