A supply voltage generating circuit and method for a power system. The power system has a power input terminal to receive an input voltage, a system output terminal to provide a system voltage, a switching circuit, a bootstrap capacitor, and a first driver circuit with a power terminal. The switching circuit works in a buck mode to convert the input voltage to the system voltage, or in a boost mode to convert the system voltage to a boost output voltage. The bootstrap capacitor provides a bootstrap voltage at a bootstrap terminal. The method is generating an input pump voltage based on the input voltage and the boost output voltage, generating a first supply voltage based on the bootstrap voltage and the input pump voltage, and providing the first supply voltage to the power terminal of the first driver circuit.

Supply voltage generating method for a driver circuit in a power system

A control circuit having power limit for controlling an AC-DC voltage converter. The control circuit includes a first sensing circuit having an auxiliary winding used to sense a voltage on an inductive element of the converter to generate a first sensing signal, a second sensing circuit used to sense the current flowing through the inductive element to provide a second sensing signal, and a power limit circuit. The power limit circuit generates a power indication signal indicative of the input power of the converter based on the first sensing signal and the second sensing signal. When the power indication signal is larger than a power threshold, a controllable switch of the converter is turned off.

The present technology is directed to class G audio amplifiers and the associated methods of operation. In one embodiment, a class G audio amplifier includes an input port, an audio output stage, a level detector, and a charge pump. The class G audio amplifier regulates the power supplies of the audio output stage according to the input signal, so as to realize high efficiency and high quality audio output.

A zero-crossing gain control system is disclosed herein. The system comprises a gain control unit for amplifying an input signal to an output signal, a zero-crossing monitoring circuit for monitoring the input signal or output signal, and a register for latching the digital control signal and generating a gain control signal that controls the gain control unit. The system may further comprise a maximum write time setting circuit for generating a write signal. The digital control signal is written into the register when a zero-crossing state is monitored or a maximum write time since a change occurred on of the digital control signal is expired. An automatic gain control system is also disclosed herein and further comprises a peak detecting circuit for detecting the level of output signal, a logic circuit for lowering or restoring the digital control signal according to the result from the peak detecting circuit.
