Disclosed herein are apparatuses and a method for improving wireless communication characteristics by matching transmitter antenna patterns to receiver antenna patterns. An embodiment operates by generating a station profile for each of a plurality of stations based on a structure of each of the plurality of stations and an antenna pattern group of each of the plurality of stations. The embodiment then identifies a station profile of a first station from among the plurality of stations based on information received from the first station. Finally, the embodiment searches for an antenna pattern for the first station using the antenna pattern group corresponding to the station profile.

A bamboo scrimber includes a plurality of pressure-pressed bamboo strips impregnated with an adhesive and modified through heat-treatment. A method of manufacturing laminated bamboo sliver lumber comprises steps of: preparing bamboo slivers; performing moth-proofing, mildew-proofing, and antiseptic treatments to the bamboo slivers and then drying the bamboo slivers to a moisture content of about 6-15%; machining each dried bamboo sliver to a thickness of about 0.5-3.5 mm (0.02-0.14 in) and a width of about 5-22 mm (0.20-0.87 in) and then dehumidifying the machined bamboo slivers to a moisture content of about 3-10%; applying a glue to the bamboo slivers by glue-coating or 'immerging' process, in which a ratio of the glue to an absolute dry weight of the bamboo slivers is about 3-16%; and arranging the glued bamboo slivers with their 'width' direction consistent with the &#x201c;vertical&#x201d; direction and then pressing the arranged bamboo slivers and curing the glue under a &#x201c;side&#x201d; pressure of about 3-15 MPa (0.44-2.18 ksi) and a &#x201c;top&#x201d; pressure of about 1-6 MPa (0.15-0.87 ksi) so as to form the laminated bamboo sliver lumber.

A two-ply flooring plank is disclosed having two layers or 'plies' with a bottom layer having a grain that runs generally transverse to a top layer or 'cross-ply' to provide dimensional stability to the plank. The bottom layer includes a number of strips secured to the bottom of the top layer. The bottom layer strips are also placed with gaps between the individual strips of the second layer to allow flexibility of the flooring plank, which allows the flooring to more easily conform to irregularities in a subfloor upon which the flooring plank is mounted.
