A method can include receiving input for a multiwell pad; selecting, based at least in part on a portion of the input, a template for the multiwell pad; generating, based at least in part on the template, well trajectories for the multiwell pad, where each of the well trajectories extends from a surface location of the multiwell pad to one or more reservoir target locations and where each of the well trajectories includes at least one curve generated using one or more dogleg severity values and one or more geometric control points that are not required to lie on one or more of the well trajectories; and outputting specifications for the generated trajectories of the multiwell pad.

Multiwell pad drilling framework

An index is created for a database by selecting at least one column of a database table as a basis to create the index, generating at least one index of a tree structure according to the at least one column, where a pointer stored in a leaf node of the at least one index is null. In an example embodiment, a value to a pointer is stored in a leaf node according to an intermediate result in response to the intermediate result being generated, where the pointer stored in the leaf node points to a data page storing the intermediate result. The created index can be reused and the intermediate result can be effectively used, such that the efficiency of database operation is improved.

Creating indexes for databases

A method for joining tables in multiple heterogeneous distributed databases implemented by at least two data sources accessible to a federal database server over a network includes: transmitting from the federated database server a sub-command to a first of the data sources responsive to the federated database server receiving a data query; retrieving, with the federated database server, block data from the first data source related to the data query using block fetching according to the sub-command; transmitting, with the federated database server, at least a portion of the block data to a second of the data sources together with an instruction for the second data source to perform a join operation on the portion of the block data and a data table stored by the second data source related to the query; and retrieving a result of the join operation with the federated database server.
