Methods and systems for maintaining a healthy building. In one example, an access card reader for controlling access to a secure area may comprise a card reader for reading an access card identifier from an access card presented by a user, a touchless thermal sensor for sensing a skin temperature of the user, a memory, and a controller operatively coupled to the card reader, the touchless thermal sensor and the memory. In response to a user presenting an access card to the card reader, the controller may be configured to store in the memory the access card identifier read by the card reader along with a corresponding skin temperature of the user. In another example, a system may be configured to perform contact tracing when an occupant has been identified as displaying signs of an illness.

Methods and systems for maintaining a healthy building

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) navigation system includes a portable, ground-based landing pad comprising having a first antenna configured to transmit a data packet; a UAV comprising a second antenna configured to receive the data packet; and second processing circuitry configured to determine a signal strength between the first antenna and the second antenna; determine, based on the signal strength, an orientation of the vehicle relative to the landing pad; and determine, based on a time of flight of the data packet, a distance between the vehicle and the landing pad.

Automatic UAV landing pad

A smart landing pad comprises a flexible display that shows images or patterns, and a protective layer over the display. The protective layer allows a UAV to land without damaging the display. Locator and range finder devices, coupled to the display, communicate with the UAV. The display is operative for wireless communications with a computer or mobile device that provides on-demand user functions, allowing for dynamically changing or customizing the images/patterns shown on the display. The images/patterns comprise a background area showing changeable images that match an environment where the landing pad is placed, and a target landing area surrounded by the background area. The target landing area includes a changeable insensitive, contrast portion, and changeable marker pattern portions having changeable colors/shapes. The images/patterns also include changeable QR codes on the target landing area. The display is IoT enabled so that data from the landing pad is remotely cloud accessible.

In some examples, a system includes at least three receivers configured to receive a surveillance packet from another vehicle at respective arrival times. The system includes a first receiver configured to receive a surveillance packet from the other vehicle at a first time. Methods, devices, and systems for detecting incapacitation and location using nodes are described herein. One system for detecting incapacitation and location using nodes can include an impact sensor, and a node including a memory and a processor to execute executable instructions stored in the memory to determine an incapacitating event has occurred via the impact sensor, determine a location of the node using a plurality of nodes, where the plurality of nodes include the node, and transmit the incapacitating event and the location of the node to an external server.

At least two master nodes are located on one edge of the coverage area and receive signals from a slave node within the coverage area. A fall protection harness includes a computer processor, an optical transmitter, and an optical receiver coupled. The optical transmitter and the optical receiver are optically coupled. Upon damage to the fall protection harness, the optical coupling between the optical transmitter and the optical receiver is broken, the computer processor senses the break in the optical coupling between the optical transmitter and the optical receiver; and the computer processor generates a signal indicating the damage.

A fall protection harness or fall protection static line includes one or more straps, an electrical sensing device coupled to the one or more straps, a computer processor coupled to the electrical sensing device, and a transmitter coupled to the computer processor. The one or more straps are made up of an electrically non-conducting thread and an electrically conducting thread. The electrically non-conducting thread and the electrically conducting thread are intertwined, or the electrically conductive thread is intertwined with itself. The electrical sensing device detects a disruption in current in the electrically conducting thread, a disruption in voltage in the electrically conducting thread, or a change in resistance in the electrically conducting thread, which indicates damage to the fall protection harness or a fall by a person wearing the fall protection harness.
