The invention relates to a method for treating a biological cell () including a cytoskeleton () enveloped by a cell membrane (). The method includes the following steps: the biological cell () and a tool () are mutually oriented such that the tool () comes into contact with the biological cell (); the tool () and the biological cell () are displaced in relation to each other; and a gap is formed in the molecular composite of the cell membrane () of the biological cell (). During the displacement of the tool (), the cytoskeleton () of the biological cell () has a state of equilibrium. The invention also relates to a cell manipulator for carrying out the inventive method.

Method and devices for treating individual biological cells

The invention lies in the technical field of cell biology and transplantation medicine. It concerns devices and methods for rapid and noninvasive analysis or checking of biological samples, especially for sterility control, for characterization of infectious particles and microorganisms contained in the biological sample and for characterization of tissue cells and transplants. The main areas of application of the invention are biotechnological production of pharmacological active ingredients and therapeutic agents as well as transplantation medicine.

Arrangement and method for analysis of biological samples

Disclosed is a device for detecting bioelectric signals from spheroids comprising a measuring chamber having a measuring chamber wall which encloses a volume, which is open at least at one side, is composed of an electrically non-conducting material, and has, in at least one measuring region, an inner cross section, which corresponds as far as possible to the largest cross section of a spheroid, comprising at least a number of electrodes which are disposed in a common plane inside said measuring chamber wall and each electrode has a freely accessible electrode surface which is oriented towards the measuring region, and comprising an impedance measuring arrangement which is connected to the electrodes. The device and the method can be used to test substances in 3D biological in-vitro (three-dimensional) cell aggregates.

Device and method for detecting bioelectric signals from electrophysiologically active regions in spheroids

A cell transfer method is described, in which transfer of at least one biological cell () describing a natural cell locomotion between a carrier () and a probe () is provided, and whereby positioning the probe () and the carrier () relative to one another in a transfer arrangement is provided, in which transfer of the cell () takes place due to the natural cell locomotion. Probes and cell manipulators for transferring biological cells are also described.
