A display device may include a display panel which is flexible and includes a first surface on which an image is displayed and a second surface on which the image is not displayed, a connection film at least partially overlapping a side of the display panel in a plan view, a printed circuit board at least partially overlapping a side of the connection film in a plan view and electrically connected to the connection film, a control board spaced apart from the printed circuit board, and a cable electrically connecting the printed circuit board and the control board. The cable may have a spiral shape.

A display device comprises a display panel, a panel support member disposed on a surface of the display panel and including segments that are spaced apart from each other, and a reflective layer disposed between the segments.

A display device includes a pixel located in a display area, the pixel including: a first electrode and a second electrode spaced from each other on a base layer; a first insulating layer and a second insulating layer sequentially stacked on the first electrode and the second electrode; a light emitting element on the second insulating layer and located between the first electrode and the second electrode; and a light control layer interposed between the first insulating layer and the second insulating layer and overlapping the light emitting element.

A display device includes a pixel disposed in a display area. A color conversion panel for a display device includes: a substrate including a first region, a second region, and a third region; a light-blocking partition disposed on the substrate and having a plurality of openings via which the first region, the second region and the third region are exposed; color conversion patterns disposed on the substrate in the openings in the first region and in the second region, respectively; and a light-transmitting layer containing scattering particles and including a first portion disposed in the opening in the third region and a second portion disposed to cover the color conversion patterns on the substrate. The scattering particles increase the efficiency of color conversion, such that color gamut may be increased.

A display panel with microcavities each having ends of asymmetric cross-sectional area. An exemplary display panel has a substrate; a pixel electrode formed on the substrate; a first black matrix and a second black matrix each disposed on the substrate; and a supporting member disposed on the substrate over the pixel electrode and the black matrix, the supporting member shaped so as to form a microcavity between the pixel electrode and the supporting member, the microcavity having an upper surface proximate to the supporting member and a lower surface opposite the upper surface. The microcavity has one end positioned over the first black matrix, and another end opposite the first end and positioned over the second black matrix; the lower surface of the microcavity has first and second channels disposed therein, the first channel positioned over the first black matrix, and the second channel positioned over the second black matrix.

Nano crystal display device having patterned microcavity structure

A liquid crystal display and a method of making it are provided. The liquid crystal display includes: a substrate; a thin film transistor disposed on the substrate; a pixel electrode connected to the thin film transistor; a roof layer disposed to be spaced from the pixel electrode; a liquid crystal layer between the pixel electrode and the roof layer; and a plurality of columns arranged along a gate line connected to the thin film transistor and supporting the roof layer, wherein the plurality of columns are formed of the same material as the roof layer.

Liquid crystal display and method of manufacturing the same
