A liquefied hydrogen storage tank is provided in a storage facility storing a large amount of hydrogen in a liquefied state or a vehicle transporting liquefied hydrogen and a liquefied hydrogen storage tank. The liquefied hydrogen storage tank is a storage container storing liquefied hydrogen. The liquefied hydrogen storage tank includes an inner space including a lower space in which liquefied hydrogen is stored and an upper space in which a gas is stored and further includes a heat inflow prevention unit disposed in the upper space or at an interface between the upper space and the lower space and preventing inflow of thermal energy into the lower space through the upper space. The temperature of the liquefied hydrogen storage tank is controlled, the generation rate of boil-off gas from liquefied hydrogen is controlled, and the liquefied hydrogen storage tank is maintained at a low pressure.

Liquefied hydrogen storage tank, and method for controlling temperature of liquefied hydrogen storage tank

Disclosed herein are a system and method which can control the generation rate of boil-off gas from liquefied hydrogen and can maintain the liquefied hydrogen storage tank at a low pressure. The method for controlling boil-off gas from liquefied hydrogen according to the present invention includes: at least two storage tanks storing liquefied hydrogen and each operated in a high-temperature mode or in a low-temperature mode, wherein the low-temperature mode includes: maintaining at least a portion of liquefied hydrogen stored in the storage tank at a first temperature being a densification temperature, and the high-temperature mode includes: maintaining at least a portion of liquefied hydrogen stored in the storage tank at a second temperature being a temperature exceeding a triple point of liquefied hydrogen through recovery of cold heat from liquefied hydrogen stored in the storage tank.

System and method for controlling boil-off gas from liquefied hydrogen

Disclosed is a corner structure () of a liquefied gas storage tank, the corner structure () being installed on a corner of a liquefied gas-carrying storage tank to support sealing walls () that prevent the liquefied gas from leaking. The corner structure () comprises: two insulation members () arranged, oriented in different directions, on the inner surface of structural walls of a ship; and operational members () which are disposed on respective insulation members (), and to which the support sealing walls () adhere. The operational members () may be attached to the insulation members () so as to allow sliding against same.

Disclosed is a corner structure () of a liquefied gas storage tank, wherein the corner structure is installed at a corner of a storage tank for loading liquefied gas and supports sealing walls () that prevent leakage of the liquefied gas. The corner structure () may include: two insulation members () arranged on the inner surface of a hull structure so as to be oriented in different directions; and mobile members () which are installed on the respective insulation members () and to which the sealing walls () are joined. A corner structure comprises: a fixed member fixed to a corner of a storage tank; a movable member supported on the fixed member so as to be linearly movable; a stop member attached to the fixed member to prevent the movable member from being detached from the fixed member; and a heat insulating member disposed between a sealing wall and a hull. The fixed member comprises a guide portion provided with a guide recessed portion, the movable member comprises a guide protruding portion inserted into the guide recessed portion, and the width and the length of the guide protruding portion are smaller than the width and the length of the guide recessed portion, so that the movable member can be supported on the fixed member to be movable in the longitudinal direction and in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction.
