Processes for injection of fluids into a wellbore via drill pipe. In some embodiments, the process can include positioning a downhole apparatus on a drill pipe. The process can also include placing the downhole apparatus at a desired station depth within a wellbore. The process can also include attaching a cable to the downhole apparatus from an up-hole environment. The process can also include setting at least one packer to seal a space between at least a portion of the downhole apparatus and an inner surface of the wellbore. The process can also include introducing a fluid to the downhole apparatus through the drill pipe and using a pump to inject at least a portion of the fluid into a geological stratum.

Systems and methods presented herein include an assembly of tools that can be arranged in a wellbore in such a way that allows a combination of formation testing (e.g., with a modular formation dynamics testing tool, a wireline formation testing tool, and so forth) and drill stem testing (DST). The assembly of tools enables performance of both types of activities potentially in a single run in the hole, and facilitate full control of the reservoir and formation fluids or, in case of injection, of injected fluids inside the tubing or drill pipe. In addition, the assembly of tools allows for multiple set points to perform zonal evaluations with the formation testing tools, and facilitate performance of full scale flow tests with the DST string.

The present disclosure relates to a system that is operable to receive an execution plan and execute a control operation on one or more equipment based operations within the execution plan. The one or more operations may include a data capturing operation associated with a resource site. In one embodiment, the system may be operable to execute at least a first operation in response to a success variable of the data capturing operation indicating a successful execution of the data capturing operation. The first operation may include a quality control operation that is executed by comparing at least one characteristic of the captured data to an expected characteristic to generate quality state data. The quality state data may have one of an acceptable status and an undesirable status. In response to the quality state data indicating an acceptable status for the quality control operation, executing at least a second operation.

Methods and systems for conveying a WFT via drill pipe within a wellbore penetrating a subterranean formation and setting two packers of the WFT on opposite sides of a zone of interest of the formation, thereby isolating an interval of an annulus between the WFT and a wall of the wellbore. DTT of the formation is then performed by operating two WFT pumps of the WFT to pump fluid from the formation via the isolated interval, through the WFT, and out of the WFT to the wellbore, while operating mud pumps to pump drilling mud into the wellbore and thereby convey a mixture of the drilling mud and the pumped formation fluid through the annulus to a mud gas separator. Gas from the mud gas separator is used to measure a surface production rate of the formation fluid.

Systems and methods presented herein generally relate to a formation testing tool configured to determine whether a formation fluid being tested is a bubble point fluid or a dew point fluid. For example, in certain embodiments, a method includes depressurizing a flowline of a formation testing tool. The flowline contains a formation fluid having a gas-to-oil ratio (GOR) within a predetermined GOR range. The method also includes determining, using a fluid analysis module of the formation testing tool, whether the formation fluid is a bubble point fluid or a dew point fluid by analyzing distribution of bubbles in the formation fluid that are caused by the depressurization of the flowline.

The disclosure provides for a method for sampling fluid from a subterranean formation that is intersected by a wellbore. The method includes performing an initial draw-down at a target interval in the wellbore to pump fluid from the subterranean formation with a 3D radial probe. The method includes isolating the target interval of the wellbore with a packer and providing a residence time within a dead volume of the packer to allow fluid therein to separate into hydrocarbon and water phases. The method includes pumping a sample of the hydrocarbon into a sample chamber while pumping a remainder of the fluid into the wellbore, and testing the sample to determine a hydrocarbon content of the sample.

Downhole segregation for wireline formation fluid sampling

Systems and methods presented herein provide for the generation of acoustic waves for acoustic stimulation, as well as for analysis of subterranean formations, using downhole tools and associated equipment that are not conventionally designed to do so. For example, in certain embodiments, formation testing tools, formation, measurement tools, inflatable packers, and so forth, may be controlled by control systems to, for example, create pressure pulses that generate the acoustic waves. In addition, in certain embodiments, a tool conveyance system that conveys a formation testing or measurement tool into a wellbore may include acoustic receivers that may detect the acoustic waves after they reflect from subterranean features of the formation.

Downhole acoustic wave generation systems and methods

The disclosure relates to a method for flagging at least an event of interest in an unlabeled time series of a parameter relative to a wellsite (including to the well, formation or a wellsite equipment), wherein the time series of the parameter is a signal of the parameter as a function of time. The disclosure also relates to a method for evaluation a downhole operation such as a pressure test using a pressure time series. Such methods comprises collecting a time series, extracting at least an unlabeled subsequence of predetermined duration in the time series, and assigning an event of interest a label, in particular representative of the status of the downhole operation, to at least one of the unlabeled subsequences. A command may be sent to a wellsite operating system based on assigned label.
