A slogging wrench () comprising: a ring socket () for receiving a nut or a bolt head (NBH, NBH'); an elongate body () for receiving blows from a mass to transmit torque to the ring socket; and a tool-free locking mechanism () for retaining a nut or a bolt head in the ring socket. The locking mechanism comprises a slider () operable to engage a nut or a bolt head in the ring socket; a channel () for guiding movement of the slider towards and away from the ring socket; and an actuator () manually operable to move the slider with respect to the ring socket. The channel () opens into the ring socket () via an internal periphery () of the ring socket. The locking mechanism comprises a resilient member () biasing the slider () towards a nut or a bolt head (NBH, NBH&#x2032;) in the ring socket ().

A strap pipe wrench for driving an object having a generally cylindrical shape includes a handle which extends along a longitudinal axis, a connecting member which is movable relative to the handle in a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis, and a strap formed in a loop and having two opposing end portions which cooperate with two zones integral with the handle when the strap surrounds the object tightly, the two opposing end portions of the strap being attached to the connecting member, a displacement device for displacing said connecting member, and enabling the size of the loop of the strap to be adjusted and the strap to be tensioned when it surrounds the object tightly, and a shoe disposed between the two zones for abutment on the object, the shoe having an abutment face of generally arcuate shape.

According to the invention, a tool for assembling and disassembling an elastic collar includes first and second jaws mobile relative to each other. The first and second jaws respectively include first gripping profiles, the first gripping profiles being adapted to interact with the elastic collar and being provided opposite each other along a first predetermined and general collar-gripping orientation relative to the jaws. The first and second jaws respectively include at least second gripping profiles, the second gripping profiles being provided opposite each other and being adapted to interact with the elastic collar along a second predetermined general gripping orientation relative to the jaws, the second orientation being different from the first orientation.

At least one partition, which is formed integrally with the base, is designed to flex elastically and transversely to allow the handle to overcome the means for positioning the handle.
