A display device unit includes: a display device; and a sound element disposed at a side surface or a rear surface of the display device, where the sound element includes a vibration material layer which provides a sound based on an electric field applied therein, and a pair of electrodes which generates the electric field in the vibration material layer.

The present invention relates to a display device with improved transparency and appearance, and the display device according to an example embodiment of the present invention includes: a substrate including a plurality of pixel areas having a transparent region and a liquid crystal driving region; a thin film transistor formed on the substrate; a pixel electrode connected to the thin film transistor; a common electrode formed in the liquid crystal driving region on the pixel electrode so as to be spaced apart from the pixel electrode with a microcavity therebetween; a roof layer formed on the common electrode; an injection hole formed in the common electrode and the roof layer so as to expose the microcavity; a liquid crystal layer filling the microcavity; and an overcoat formed on the roof layer so as to cover the liquid crystal injection hole to seal the microcavity, wherein the pixel electrode, the common electrode, the roof layer, and the liquid crystal layer are formed in the liquid crystal driving region.

A display device includes a display panel which displays an image, a cushion tape member which is disposed below the display panel to protect a rear surface of the display panel, and includes a first cushion tape and a second cushion tape, a sound element which is disposed between the first cushion tape and the second cushion tape, and includes a pair of electrodes and a vibrating material layer disposed between the pair of electrodes.

A display device includes: a display panel assembly; and a backlight unit. The backlight unit includes an optical sheet, a reflective sheet and a light source. One of the optical sheet and the reflective sheet includes a material which supplies a sound by receiving an electrical field.

A gasket includes an elastic member absorbing an external shock, a conductive member surrounding the elastic member, and a reinforcing member disposed within the conductive member and extending along a bottom surface and a side surface of the conductive member. A screen spacer includes an elastic member absorbing an external shock, and a reinforcing member disposed on one side of the elastic member. A display device includes a driving circuit substrate supplying a driving signal to a display panel, a chassis receiving the display panel and the gasket attached to the driving circuit substrate and contacting the chassis, the gasket grounding the driving circuit and the chassis.

A gasket is interposed between a circuit board that generates electromagnetic waves and a conductive member, and includes an elastic member separating the circuit board from the conductive member. The gasket is electrically connected with the circuit board by a conductive layer to receive the electromagnetic waves from the circuit board. The conductive layer is covered with an insulating layer except for a contact area where the conductive layer is coupled with the circuit board. The insulating layer blocks the electromagnetic waves received from the circuit board. The electromagnetic wave noise of a display apparatus is reduced even if a contact failure occurs between the gasket and a top chassis.
