One method includes determining, by at least one processing circuit, an access level based on information stored in an account database and an adverse event experienced by a customer. The method further includes authorizing, by the at least one processing circuit, a designee of the customer comprising the access level for at least one future payment request. The method further includes transmitting, by the at least one processing circuit, an alert message corresponding to the authorization of the designee for the access level. The method further includes in response to receiving an input from a user device, withdrawing, by the at least one processing circuit, the access level.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media utilized for determining access to a financial account held by a customer of a financial institution. One method includes establishing a communication session with a sensor device, wherein the financial institution computing system continuously receives sensor data over the communication session and receiving, from a point-of-sale (POS) terminal, a payment request. The method further includes retrieving, from the user device via an application programming interface (API), device data including at least application data and receiving, from the sensor device, the sensor data including at least one of geolocation data or biometric data of the sensor device. The method further includes determining the customer experienced an adverse event based on the sensor data and the device data and determining automatically an access level. The method further includes authorizing, by the processor, the payment request utilizing the financial account held by the customer to a designee.

Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media utilized for authorizing transactions without a payment card present. One method includes receiving a habitual transaction request including a customer indicator and identifying characteristics of the habitual transaction request. The method further includes identifying, utilizing the customer indicator, habit information of a customer and authenticating the habitual transaction request based on the characteristics of the habitual transaction request conforming with the habit information. The method further includes, in response to authenticating the habitual transaction request, authorizing the habitual transaction request and receiving a non-habitual transaction request including the customer indicator. The method further includes determining that the customer is active, and the customer indicator is approved to conduct a non-habitual transaction and authorizing the non-habitual transaction request based on the determination and the customer indicator being approved to conduct the non-habitual transaction and transmitting a notification indicating the non-habitual transaction request was authorized.

Systems and methods for authorizing transactions without a payment card present

A financial institution computing system may include a steward database and a steward designation circuit. The steward database may store information of a steward of a customer. The information may include interaction information of the steward, which may include information indicative of interactions of the steward with other individuals. The steward designation circuit may determine whether an individual of the other individuals qualifies as a new steward of the customer based on the interaction information of the steward in the steward database. The steward designation circuit may designate the individual as a new steward of the customer in response to determining that the individual qualifies as a new steward of the customer.

Systems and methods for identifying a steward

Examples described herein relate to apparatus and methods for determining access to a financial account held by a customer of a financial institution, including, but not limited to, determining, by a processor of a financial institution computing system, an adverse event that causes death or incapacitation to the customer based on an adverse event message received from a user device associated with the customer, and in response to determining the adverse event, granting, by the processor, the access to the financial account held by the customer to a designee.

A financial institution computing system includes a network circuit enabling the financial institution computing system to exchange information over a network, a customer database storing information for a customer including habit information of the customer and a customer indicator of the customer, and a transaction circuit. The transaction circuit receives, over the network via the network circuit, a first transaction request including the customer indicator. The transaction circuit authenticates the first transaction request by determining that a characteristic of the first transaction request conforms with the habit information of the customer associated with the customer indicator, and authorizes the first transaction request based on the first transaction request being authenticated. The transaction circuit receives, over the network via the network circuit, a second transaction request including the customer indicator, and authorizes the second transaction request based on receiving the customer indicator.
