An electrical switch is disclosed. The switch includes at least one switching contact which is held against the prestressing force of a contact force spring on a moving contact mount, and an arc quenching device, in which at least one section of the at least one contact force spring extends between side pieces of the contact mount. A device for limiting the spreading of combustion products is provided, which has an angle bracket inclined with respect to the opening direction of the moving contact mount. When the contact mount is in the open position, the bracket overhangs the at least one section of the at least one contact force spring. In order to protect the contact force springs, in particular at the end of the opening process, even better against contamination by spreading combustion products, the inclined angle bracket is seated in a prestressed manner on the side pieces.

Electrical switch

A low-voltage circuit breaker includes a first contact arrangement, for connecting a fixed contact to a first busbar and a second contact arrangement, for connecting a counter contact, arranged on a contact lever, to a second busbar. A low-voltage circuit breaker is produced, which may be converted with minimal material complexity and little effort from a fixed switch into a modular switch, whereby the busbars of a low-voltage circuit breaker include moulded features such that the low-voltage circuit breaker may be embodied as both a fixed breaker and a modular breaker.

A power circuit breaker includes an insertion rack which is arranged in a distribution unit and a lock system for locking the power circuit breaker in the insertion rack in a locking system. The locking system can be actuated by a drive mechanism, in particular by the switch shaft of the power circuit breaker.

The invention relates to a low voltage circuit breaker which comprises a contact system for a principal current and an arc extinction chamber. The invention relates to a switch contact arrangement with a first moving switch contact, with a second switch contact, provided for the first switch contact and with an erosion display, for the switch contacts. The erosion display comprises an erosion pointer and a display surface or display edge. The display pointer follows the movement of the first switch contact and, on closing the contacts, then only extends over the display surface or display edge when the value for the erosion of the switch contacts is less than a given maximum value. In order to be able to shorten the display pointer in the unused condition without a special tool to give a separation from the display surface or display edge, the value of which corresponds to the value of the maximum permitted erosion of the switch contacts, at least one marking for the cutting of the display pointer is provided, whereby the marking is separated from the display surface or display edge by the maximum permitted erosion of the switch contacts.

A switching arrangement for low-voltage circuit breakers with a high nominal current includes movable switching contacts arranged essentially on a moveable contact carrier. It further includes fixed switching contacts and a device for cooling, de-ionizing and extinguishing an electric switching arc. The fixed contact is provided with a pre-contact function over the entire contact width thereof. Moveable contact levers are arranged according to a set pattern in a distributed manner over the entire width of the contact carriers and are provided with or without a pre-contact. A contact lever with a pre-contact and a contact lever without a pre-contact can be provided successively. Similarly, two or more contact levers with a pre-contact and two or more contact levers without a pre-contact can be successively and alternatingly provided in packet-form.

Switching arrangement for low-voltage circuit breakers

An electric arc extinction chamber system, especially for low-voltage circuit breakers of very high nominal current intensities, wherein parallel electric arc extinction chamber inserts are provided in a housing extending over the entire width of a pole-face arc. The housing of the chamber is sub-divided by a partition wall or several partition walls which are embodied as components of the housing. The compartments thus formed receive arc splitter cartridges.
