The disclosure relates to a wireless communication system, and relates to a method and apparatus for scheduling a plurality of user equipments (UEs) by considering a frequency selectivity. A method, performed by a base station, for transmitting or receiving data in a wireless communication system according to an embodiment includes determining a UE candidate group set based on channel state information for channels of a plurality of carriers, determining an offset used to adjust the number of UEs of the UE candidate group set, based on frequency selectivity information between a representative channel selected from among the channels of the plurality of carriers and other channels, based on the offset, determining a plurality of UEs to which data is to be transmitted, and transmitting the data to the determined plurality of UEs.

Method and apparatus for multi-user scheduling in wireless communication system

The present disclosure relates to a pre-5-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4-Generation (4G) communication system such as long-term evolution (LTE). An operating method of a reception device in a wireless communication system includes: receiving a signal transmitted through a plurality of antennas of a transmission device; determining an initial symbol vector based on the signal; determining a first candidate symbol vector based on a plurality of solution vectors which are obtained by a search on the initial symbol vector; determining a second candidate symbol vector by flipping at least one symbol value of the first candidate symbol vector; and determining a symbol vector transmitted from the transmission device based on at least a portion of the second candidate symbol vector.

According to various embodiments of the present disclosure, a method for operating a receiving device in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes receiving a signal from a transmitting device which includes a plurality of transmit antennas, determining, based on the signal, multiple symbol vectors from symbol vectors possibly transmitted from a first transmit antenna and a second transmit antenna of the plurality of transmit antennas, and determining combinations of symbols transmitted from the first transmit antenna and the second transmit antenna by searching, for each of the multiple symbol vectors, at least one other symbol vector within a first preset distance from each of the multiple symbol vectors.
