Provided is a window molding apparatus including an inner molding part including a core molding part, which includes a plurality of sub-bottom surfaces having different curvature radii, and a flat molding part spaced apart from the sub-bottom surfaces and disposed on the core molding part, and an outer molding part which is disposed below the inner molding part with a member to be processed therebetween and in which a groove corresponding to the core molding part is defined. The outer molding part includes a lower surface, an upper surface configured to face the lower surface, and a plurality of sub-groove surfaces having different curvature radii that define the groove to provide a window including sub-bent portions having different curvature radii.

Window molding apparatus and window molding method using the same

An apparatus for molding a window, the apparatus includes: a first molding part; a jig disposed below the first molding part, the jig including a bottom surface and a plurality of side surfaces configured to support and seat a work piece to be processed into a window; and an second molding part disposed on the bottom surface, wherein the second molding part includes: a lower surface adjacent to the bottom surface; an upper surface facing the lower surface; a first cavity having a first curved surface generally concave in a direction facing the lower surface; a plurality of second cavities extending from the first cavity, the plurality of second-cavities having second curved surfaces; and a plurality of movable molds disposed on the second-cavities supported for movement along the second curved surfaces, respectively.

Window molding apparatus and a window molding method using the same

A window includes a base region and a compressive stress region disposed on the base region. The compressive stress region includes Li, Na, and Kions. The compressive stress region includes a first compressive stress portion in which a concentration of the Kions decreases, a concentration of Naions increases, and a concentration of the Liions increases, from a surface of the window toward the base region. A second compressive stress portion is adjacent to the first compressive stress portion. In the second compressive stress portion, the concentration of the Naion decreases and the concentration of the Liion increases, from the first compressive stress portion toward the base region. The window thereby has a high surface compressive stress value and impact resistance.

Window and method of manufacturing the same

A cover window includes a base layer including a bending portion bent about a bending axis extending in one direction, a first flat portion, and a second flat portion spaced apart from the first flat portion with the bending portion interposed therebetween in a direction crossing the one direction and facing each other and a first coating portion disposed on the bending portion and having a first modulus less than a modulus of the base layer.

Cover window, method of manufacturing the same, and display device having the same

A jig for a cover window may include a lower jig and an upper jig on the lower jig. The lower jig may include a mounting portion, on which a cover window is configured to be disposed, and an exhausting portion adjacent to the mounting portion. The upper jig may include a cover unit, in which an opening exposing the mounting portion is defined, and a sidewall portion, coupled to the cover unit and enclosing the lower jig. The cover unit may be spaced apart from and overlapped with the exhausting portion.

Jig for cover window

A glass substrate and a method for manufacturing the glass substrate are provided. The glass substrate may include a base glass including SiO, AlO, and LiO, and nanocrystals having an average diameter in a range from about 5 nm to about 10 nm, thereby exhibiting enhanced surface strength properties while maintaining good transmittance properties. The method may include a step of heat-treating a base glass, thereby providing a glass substrate having enhanced strength properties.
