A method for controlling a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, may include: allowing, by a controller, only the indoor air to be directed into a housing when the HVAC system operates in a cooling mode and an engine is stopped by an Idle Stop and Go (ISG) system; allowing, by the controller, the indoor air directed into the housing to bypass a heater core; and maintaining, by the controller, a flow rate of the air directed into the housing at a minimum flow rate.

Method for controlling HVAC system

A vehicle HVAC system includes: a casing to direct air from outdoors into the interior of a passenger compartment, an air blower blowing the air into the casing, an evaporator disposed in the casing, a heater core disposed downstream of the evaporator, and front and rear seat side temperature doors disposed between the evaporator and the heater core. A method for controlling the HVAC system includes: determining, by a controller, whether a required temperature for cooling rear seats is set to be lower than a required temperature for cooling front seats after an outdoor condition of a vehicle meets a reference high temperature condition; and lowering, by the controller, a target temperature of the evaporator based on the set required temperature for cooling the rear seats when the required temperature for cooling the rear seats is set to be lower than the required temperature for cooling the front seats.

Method for controlling vehicle HVAC system

A method for controlling air conditioning of a vehicle includes: determining whether an air conditioning control entry condition for battery cooling wind backseat backflow compensation is satisfied from environment information collected from the vehicle; starting air conditioning control for the battery cooling wind backseat backflow compensation if it is determined that the entry condition is satisfied; determining a compensation value corresponding to a current operating level of a battery cooling fan when the air conditioning control for the battery cooling wind backseat backflow compensation is started; compensating for a current control variable value of an air conditioning device component using the determined compensation value; and performing an air conditioning operation for compensation in accordance with a backflow of a battery cooling wind having cooled a battery toward a backseat by controlling a state of the air conditioning device component in accordance with the compensated control variable value.

A method of controlling an automotive heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system includes steps of: comparing, by a controller, a voltage applied to a mode door actuator with a first operating voltage, a second operating voltage, and a third operating voltage when a driving condition of a vehicle meets an external condensation occurrence condition; and controlling, by the controller, a defrost mode door to close a defrost outlet or adjust an opening degree of the defrost outlet to be less than a reference opening degree when the voltage applied to the mode door actuator is greater than or equal to the first operating voltage, where the defrost outlet directs air toward a front windshield, and the reference opening degree is an opening degree of the defrost outlet which has been set when the driving condition of the vehicle does not meet the external condensation occurrence condition.
