A variable compression ratio apparatus including an eccentric cam interposed at an internal circumference of a front end portion of a connecting rod, in which a first chamber is formed to realize a high compression ratio by a piston by rotating the eccentric cam in one direction and a second chamber is formed to realize a low compression ratio by the piston by rotating the eccentric cam in an opposite direction may include a first spool valve selectively supplying a hydraulic pressure to expand the first chamber or the second chamber for realizing the high compression ratio and the low compression ratio; a second spool valve forming a control hydraulic pressure for the operation of the first spool valve; and an oil control valve controlling the operation of the second spool valve.

Variable compression ratio apparatus

A variable compression ratio device may include a piston pin having first and second plunger spaces, a plunger device including a first plunger that is disposed to reciprocate in the first plunger space, a second plunger and a connection pipe that connects between the first and second plungers, a first check valve disposed in a first check space to move oil from a pipe passage to the first check space in a first direction, a second check valve disposed in a second check space to move the oil from the pipe passage to a second check space in a second direction; and a return member elastically supporting the second plunger to one side.

A variable valve lift apparatus to vary lift of a valve disposed at an engine may include an outer body selectively making a lever motion according to rotation of a cam, being adapted such that the valve is connected with one end thereof and a pivot axis of the lever motion is disposed at another end thereof, and forming an inside space, an inner body disposed in the inside space of the outer body and adapted such that one end thereof is rotatably connected with the one end of the outer body, a connecting shaft disposed so as to penetrate the one end of the outer body and the one end of the inner body and connect the outer body with the inner body, and a lost motion spring provided so as to return the inner body which is relatively rotated with the outer body around the connecting shaft.

Variable valve lift apparatus

An oil passage which supplies hydraulic oil to a cylinder deactivation apparatus (CDA) that operates by hydraulic pressure may include a high pressure passage, a low pressure passage, and an orifice, all of which may be integrally formed in either a cylinder head or a cam carrier. The high pressure passage may be connected to an oil supply apparatus and receive oil therefrom. The low pressure passage may be coupled to the high pressure passage and receive pressurized oil therefrom and form a low pressure relatively lower than a pressure in the high pressure passage. The low pressure passage may be connected to supply a hydraulic pressure to the CDA. The orifice may couple the high pressure passage to the low pressure passage, communicate the high pressure passage and the low pressure passage and may be formed to supply oil from the high pressure passage to the low pressure passage.

Oil passage for supplying oil

A multiple variable valve lift apparatus includes a camshaft. At least two cam portions are disposed on an exterior circumference of the camshaft and including a high cam and a normal cam. A cylinder deactivation device is configured to perform a lever motion by one of the high cam or the normal cam and to be operated by hydraulic pressure. At least two lift operating portions are disposed on the exterior circumference of the camshaft and moving the cam portions in an axial direction of the camshaft. An operation control portion selectively moves the operating portions in the axial direction of the camshaft. A guide rail is formed in a groove of an exterior circumference of the lift operating portions into which a pin is inserted. The guide rail guides the pin according to rotation of the camshaft and the operating portions.

Multiple variable valve lift apparatus

The present disclosure provides a cylinder deactivation engine which is configured to prevent abrasion on a pad portion of a valve opening/closing unit and improves reliability of the cylinder deactivation. The cylinder deactivation engine selectively performing deactivation of a cylinder may include: a cylinder deactivation apparatus including an inner body which contacts with a cam formed at a camshaft and makes a lever motion by rotation of the camshaft; and an outer body which moves together with the inner body by selectively latching to the inner body so as to open/close a valve; and a stopper integrally formed with a cam carrier disposed to surround a part of a lower portion of the camshaft and disposed between the camshaft and the outer body so as to function as a stopper for blocking the outer body which is pushed toward the camshaft by the valve.

Cylinder deactivation engine

A variable valve lift apparatus may include an outer body, an inner body inserted in the outer body to move up and down in the outer body, a valve cylinder inserted in the outer body on a lower side of the inner body to have one side coupled to the inner body and the other side coupled to the valve, a latching member provided either to the outer body or to the inner body to be operated by a hydraulic pressure for coupling to the outer body and the inner body selectively, a hydraulic chamber formed between the outer body and the inner body, a latching flow passage formed in the outer body to supply the hydraulic pressure to the latching member, and an oil removal valve provided to drain a fluid.

A variable valve device for varying a lift amount of a valve includes a first valve and a second valve that are respectively disposed to open or close a port, a swing arm in which first and second valve pressing portions are formed at both sides to press the first valve and the second valve, one supporting portion that supports a part that is apart from the first and the second valve pressing portions on the swing arm, a lost body that is rotatably disposed on the swing arm through a lost pin, a camshaft on which a first cam and a second cam are formed to respectively press the lost body and the swing arm, and a latching pin that selectively fixes the swing arm with the lost body and is disposed to move in a direction that the first and the second valves are arranged.
