A reciprocating compressor comprises an inside stator formed by piling a plurality of stator cores to have an actinomorphic cylinder shape, which is press-fitted to a frame, and a streak protection member and a burr shielding ring installed between the inner aspect of the inside stator and corresponding outer aspect of the frame. Thereby the burr generating between the frame and the inner stator by a streak is prevented previously, and even if a burr is generated, this burr is locked in a burr escape unit in the burr-shielding ring. Therefore degrading of valve function and an abrasion of a sliding unit in a compressing unit by the burr generating is prevented and the vibration noise of the compressor is reduced by assembling the frame and the inside stator strongly.

A piston support structure for a reciprocating compressor is provided that includes a piston receiving a linear reciprocating driving power generated by a reciprocating motor. The piston is in a compression space formed in a cylinder and a first resonant spring and a second resonant spring are positioned on both sides of the piston. The first resonant spring and the second resonant spring elastically support the linear reciprocating motion of the piston. The spring constant of the second resonant spring opposite to the first resonant spring is larger than the spring constant of the first resonant spring positioned on the side of the compression space of the cylinder. Accordingly, the stress concentration of the second resonant springs for elastically supporting the piston is reduced. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the fatigue of the second resonant springs and to extend the durability of the resonant springs.

A refrigerator includes a fresh food compartment, a freezer compartment defined by inner walls and an outer case respectively, an insulation barrier separating the compartments, and doors for providing access to the compartments. A passageway is formed in the barrier for providing refrigerated air to the fresh food compartment. A connecting duct diverges from the passageway and extends forwardly towards the front portion of the fresh food compartment. A door duct communicating with the connecting duct when the door is closed is coupled to the door. As a result, the fresh food compartment and door-adjacent portions of the fresh food compartment are promptly and uniformly cooled.
