A refrigerating system is provided in which a heat exchanging unit performs heat exchange between first and second evaporators, so that the first and second evaporators have similar temperatures, and so that an additional 'pump-down' operation may be avoided, thereby reducing compressor losses due to discharge occurrences. Since the additional pump-down operation may be avoided, power consumption may be reduced, and reliability and efficiency of the system may be enhanced. Additionally, a backflow preventing unit for preventing backflow of refrigerant in an evaporator may not be required, thus further reducing fabrication cost and complexity.

The present invention discloses a linear compressor in which a piston is linearly reciprocated inside a cylinder, for sicking a refrigerant into a compression space between the piston and the cylinder, and compressing and discharging the refrigerant, and especially, a structure of discharging the refrigerant for the linear compressor which can reduce a pulsation of a high pressure discharged refrigerant, by making the refrigerant compressed in the compression space flow from a sub-discharge space with a relatively small volume to a sub-discharge space with a relatively large volume in a discharge chamber. As a result, the structure of discharging the refrigerant for the linear compressor can efficiently reduce noise and vibration.

A reciprocating compressor includes: a cylinder installed inside a casing and having a space therein; a piston disposed inside the cylinder; an inner stator fixed at an outer circumference of the cylinder; a magnet fixed at an outer circumference of the inner stator; and an outer stator disposed to maintain a certain distance from an outer circumference of the magnet. Accordingly, the number of components is reduced thus to reduce a manufacturing cost, and performance can be also improved.

Because the front and rear springs elastically supporting both the armature and the piston are arranged in parallel to overlap with each other for a certain range, the horizontal length of the spring is reduced, resulting in a compact compressor.
