An electrical connector () adapted for connecting/disconnecting with/from a complementary connector in a front-to-back direction, comprises a shell (), an insulative housing (), a pair of locking members () and a plurality of contacts () received in the insulative housing. The shell comprises top surface (), a pair of lateral surfaces () and a bottom surface (), said surfaces defines a receiving space, one of the surfaces forms a pair of resilient tabs () bent into the receiving space. The insulative housing received in the receiving space. The locking members assembled on the longitudinal opposite ends of the insulative housing and received in the receiving space, each forms a stopping projection () projecting therefrom into the receiving space. The resilient tabs, respectively, resist with the stopping projections of the locking members to stop the locking member from moving.

Electrical connector having flexible mating portion

An electrical connector () adaptor for connecting with a complementary connector in a mating direction, comprises a shell (), an insulative housing () received in the shell and a plurality of contacts () received in the housing. The shell comprises a top surface (), a pair of lateral surfaces (), respectively, connecting with the top surface, and a rear surface (), respectively, bent from the lateral surfaces. The two-part rear surface comprises a base plate () and a shielded plate () extending rearwardly from the base plate. Each contact comprises a tail portion () exposed out of the insulative housing. The shielded plate is above and covers the tail portions of the contacts.

Electrical receptacle connector with shell

An electrical connector () adapted for connecting/disconnecting with/from a complementary connector in a front-to-back direction, includes a shell (), an insulative housing () and a number of contacts () received in the housing. The shell includes a main body (), a connecting tab () and a mating portion (). The main body further includes a receiving space surrounded by a top surface (), a bottom surface (), and a pair of lateral surfaces (). The connecting tab only connects with one edge of said surface of the main body. The mating portion extends from the connecting tab in the front-to-back direction. An electrical card connector () for receiving an electrical card () includes a longitudinal insulative housing () and a plurality of conductive contacts () received in the insulative housing. Each contact includes a contact portion () projecting beyond the insulative housing. The electrical card is pressed to contact with the conductive contacts. A holding piece () is received in a rear portion of the insulative housing and provided for holding the electrical card.

Electrical card connector

There are provided a contact structure for a card connector (). The contact structure includes a plurality of contacts () which are arranged in parallel with one another. Among the plurality of contacts, there is a detect contact () which is the longest contact and disposed at one of the farthest ends of the card connector, a power contact () at substantially center portion thereof, a ground contact () adjacent to the power contact. Other contacts are the signal contacts () for communicating signal. A connect contact, which is integrally formed with the power contact and transversely extends toward to the detect contact, is designed for connecting the detect contact and the power contact. The detect contact, the power contact and the connect contact cooperate to form a detect switch.

Flat flexible cable connector

An electrical connector for electrically connecting a card to a printed circuit board comprises an insulative housing, a number of contacts and a pair of board locks received in the housing, and a pair of card ejector mechanisms pivotally mounted in opposite ends of the housing. The housing defines a slot which separates a middle section thereof into a first part and a second part. The first and second parts each define a number of cavities in which the contacts are received. The first and second parts each provides a number of projections extending beyond an inner wall thereof. The projections on the first part are spaced a distance equal to a thickness of a daughter card inserted in the slot from the projections on the second part. The projections on the first and second parts abut against opposite surfaces of the daughter card thereby securing the daughter card in the housing.

An electrical contact includes a main body having a contact arm (,) extending from a lower portion thereof, a tail (,) extending from an upper portion thereof, and a retainer (,) projecting from the main body between the contact arm and the tail. A cutout (,) is defined in a surface of the tail opposite a surface designed to engages with a PCB. A guiding slot (,) is defined in the main body of the contact between the tail and the contact arm opposite the retainer. When the tail is soldered to the PCB, any excess solder will flow along the contact. The cutout provides an obstruction and the guiding slot provides a surface area for the solder to solidify on the contact without covering a portion of the contact arm and hindering signal transmission.

Electrical contact

An electrical connector for connecting a memory module to a circuit board comprises an elongate housing, a number of contacts and an ejector. The housing includes an elongate body and a pair of arms extending from opposite ends of the body. The body includes a plurality of cavities formed in opposite side walls thereof and an elongate slot defined between the side walls in communication with the cavities for insertion of the memory module. The slot is slightly wider than the memory module. Each arm defines a channel in an inner surface thereof in communication with the slot of the body for guiding the memory module into the slot. A pair of elongate ribs project from inner surfaces of opposite side walls of each arm for abutting against the memory module thereby restricting movement of the memory module along a lateral direction. The contacts are received in the cavities of the housing and exposed to the slot of the housing for mating with the memory module. The ejector is secured to the housing for ejecting the memory module from the slot of the housing.

Mini SIMM socket connector assembly is comprised of two stacked Mini SIMM socket connector wherein each Mini SIMM socket connector includes a housing having a central slot with a plurality of contacts aside for receiving a module therein whereby the module can be inserted into the housing in a first position and successively rotated to be retained in a second position. The positioning arrangement of the upper connector with regard to the lower connector is designed to leave sufficient space thereabout for not resulting in any interference with the module of the lower connector during insertion of the module of the lower connector into the housing of the lower connector.

Stacked horizontal simm connector assembly

A shorting block (10) includes a main body (12) defining a plurality of passageways (14) therein. A conductive strip (22) including a plurality of downward extending tangs (24) adapted to be received within the corresponding passageways (14), respectively, is attached to the main body (12) from the top. A cover (28) including a pair of locking tabs (30) positioned at two opposite ends, is fastened to the main housing (12) and has the conductive strip (22) sandwiched therebetween. An offset area (36) is formed on the top surface (26) of the main body (12) for snugly receiving the conductive strip (22) therein. Each of some passageways (14) further includes a guidable alignment post (15) for aligning and pre-loading the inserted tang (24) therewith.

Device for short-circuiting for use with connector

A connector assembly (10) includes a lower housing (14) and an upper housing (12) each generally including the basic structure of the typical SO DIMM connector housing (16, 16'). Each housing (14, 12) defines two rows of passageways (20, 20') on two sides of the central slot (18, 18') in which the corresponding module (100) is received. A plurality of contacts (40, 42, 50, 52) are received within the corresponding passageways (20, 20') wherein the tail of each contact (40, 42, 50, 52) extends downward to engage the corresponding circuit on the PC board (100) on which the connector assembly (10) is mounted. The upper housing (12) includes a standoff portion (30) thereabouts wherein the standoff's thickness is generally equal to the thickness of the lower housing (14) so that the upper housing (12) defines a space (32) thereunder to have the lower housing (14) positioned therein under the condition that the upper housing (12) and lower housing (14) are substantially offset with each other in the front-to-end direction.
