An induction heating apparatus may include a first working coil provided in a position corresponding to a first heating region, a second working coil provided in a position corresponding to a second heating region, an inverter circuit configured to supply current for driving at least one of the first working coil or the second working coil and comprising a plurality of switching elements, and a drive circuit configured to supply a switching signal to each of the switching elements. A controller configured to determine a driving mode of the working coil when a heating start command for at least one of the first working coil or the second working coil is input, and to supply a control signal for outputting of the switching signal to the drive circuit based on the determined driving mode.

Induction heating apparatus and method for controlling induction heating apparatus

A method for controlling an induction heating apparatus comprises receiving a power level for a heating region, supplying a switching signal to an inverter circuit based on a predetermined reference frequency, measuring an output current value of the inverter circuit, measuring a DC link voltage value, calculating an output power value of the working coil based on the output current value of the inverter circuit and the DC link voltage value, determining a heating frequency of the inverter circuit based the result of comparison by comparing the output power value of the working coil with a required power value, and supplying a switching signal to the inverter circuit based on the heating frequency.

The present disclosure relates to an induction heating apparatus and a method of controlling the same. A controller of the induction heating apparatus according to the present disclosure may set an operation mode of an inverter circuit to a half bridge mode when a required power value of a working coil is set to a value less than a reference power value such that a driving frequency of the working coil decreases while an actual power value of the working coil is kept the same as the required power value. Additionally, the controller of the induction heating apparatus may adjust a duty ratio of a switching signal input to a switching element included in the inverter circuit, thereby adjusting the actual power value of the working coil.

Induction heating device and method for controlling induction heating device

The present disclosure relates to an induction heating device. A loaded-object sensor according to the present disclosure is arranged concentrically and centrally in the working coil. Thus, the sensing coil and the working coil are adjacent to each other. When a current for the heating operation is applied to the working coil, an induction voltage is generated in the sensing coil by magnetic force generated by the current applied to the working coil. According to the present disclosure, a limiting circuit is used to reduce the induction voltage generated in the sensing coil when the heating operation of the working coil is performed.
