A control apparatus of a hybrid vehicle includes an input and output module for a driver to select a driving mode, an engine that generates power required for vehicle driving by fuel combustion, a driving motor that generates power required for vehicle driving and operates as a generator, a hybrid starter-generator (HSG) that starts the engine and operates as a generator, and a controller. When the driving mode is inputted to a stopping mode through the input and output module, based on an expected stop time, a current SOC of a battery, a target SOC of the battery, output of the driving motor, and output of the HSG, the controller that performs a first charging mode that charges the power generated by the engine in the battery through the driving motor and a second charging mode that charges the power generated by the engine in the battery through the driving motor and the HSG.

A method for controlling a transmission of a vehicle includes: determining whether a controller receives an acceleration pedal off signal corresponding to a lift foot up (LFU) shift request signal from an acceleration pedal sensor; determining whether an output signal value of a brake pedal sensor detecting a position value of a brake pedal is less than a brake reference value when the acceleration pedal off signal is received; determining whether a gear shifting progressing rate of the transmission performing a LFU shift in response to the LFU shift request signal is less than a progressing rate reference value when an output signal value of the brake pedal sensor is equal to or greater than the brake reference value; and controlling the transmission to hold the LFU shift when the gear shifting progressing rate of the transmission is less than the progressing rate reference value.

Method and device for controlling a transmission of a vehicle

A hybrid vehicle is provided and includes an input that receives user selection for terrain mode and a HSG connected to the engine to operate as a start motor to turn on the engine. The HSG operates as a generator that performs idle charging when the engine is turned on. A battery is electrically connected to the HSG. A controller configured perform idle charging when SOC of the battery is less than or equal to a first SOC through the HSG by turning on the engine.
