Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may transmit, to a base station (BS), UE capability information including transmission non-linearity information related to a digital post-distortion processing capability; and transmit, to the BS and after transmitting the UE capability information, signaling for digital post-distortion processing. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Digital post-distortion signaling

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a transmitting device (e.g., a base station) may utilize machine learning to modify a signal as conditions of a channel change to reduce a peak to average power (PAPR). For example, a base station may select a type of machine learning. The base station may receive one or more feedback messages related to a condition of a channel and modify a downlink signal based on the selected type of machine learning and the one or more feedback messages. In some cases, the base station may transmit the modified downlink signal to a user equipment (UE) along with information indicating the modified downlink signal and the UE may reconstruct the downlink signal based on the information.

Techniques for machine learning based peak to average power ratio reduction

A method of wireless communication includes transmitting, by a wireless communication device, a first Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) transmission during a first slot. The method further includes transmitting, by the wireless communication device, at least a second SSB transmission during the first slot, the second and all other optional SSB transmissions on the first slot carry the same data as the first SSB transmission. The SSB transmissions are transmitted using spatially separated beams. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a request to report one or more frequency corrections, the request including an indication of one or more reporting parameters for the one or more frequency corrections. The network entity may transmit a set of one or more reference signals associated with performing the one or more frequency corrections at the UE. The UE may monitor for the set of one or more reference signals and transmit, to the network entity, a report indicating the one or more frequency corrections in accordance with the one or more reporting parameters. The UE may transmit the report according to a periodicity, according to a trigger, or both indicated in the one or more reporting parameters. The network entity may perform channel estimations based on the report indicating the one or more frequency corrections.

Techniques for reporting frequency corrections

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a radio unit (RU) may receive, from a distributed unit (DU), an indication of a service level based operation mode, from a set of multiple candidate service level based operation modes, to use for transmitting or receiving a front haul communication. The RU may transmit or receive the front haul communication having a level of layer 1 processing that is based at least in part on the service level based operation mode. Numerous other aspects are described.

Service level based operation modes of radio units

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for dynamically adapting a baseband resource envelope (e.g., baseband resources) allocated to a network entity. A virtual radio access network (VRAN) manager (e.g., a host platform for a VRAN) may perform baseband pooling to allocate a baseband resource envelope to a network entity for signal processing at the network entity. The network entity may perform measurements indicating the channel conditions associated with communicating with one or more user equipment (UEs), and the network entity may report the measurements to the VRAN manager. The VRAN manager may then adapt a baseband resource envelope allocated to the network entity based on the measurements to improve the utilization of processing resources.

Aspects are provided including one or more techniques for graphics processing involving hierarchical modulation and foveated rendering. A first wireless device obtains, from a network entity, a hierarchical modulated image including higher and lower priority bits. The first wireless device also obtains gaze information from a second wireless device indicating an associated foveal region. In response to the gaze information, the first wireless device processes a portion of the hierarchical modulated image associated with the lower priority bits using the gaze information. For example, the device decodes low priority bits in the hierarchical modulated image in regions closer to the fovea. The first wireless device subsequently provides an image including the processed portion to be rendered at the second wireless device. For example, the processed image may have a higher resolution in the regions closer to the fovea but a lower resolution in regions farther from the fovea.

In a wireless communication system, a peak to average power ratio (PAPR) may affect the efficiency of a power amplifier. To reduce a PAPR, a transmitting device may utilize a PAPR reduction precoding that changes a received signal without performance impact so the overall transmit PAPR is reduced. The transmitting device constructs a frequency domain (FD) response to the PAPR reduction precoding, estimates a channel to one or more receiving devices, and applies the PAPR reduction precoding to the estimated channel. The transmitting device constructs a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) precoding matrix considering the FD response of the PAPR reduction precoding and applies the MIMO precoding matrix and the PAPR reduction precoding to an FD signal. A receiving device applies the FD response conjugated to a received FD signal from the transmitting device and processes at least a received reference signal based on the PAPR reduction precoder.

Transmit precoding for peak to average power ratio reduction

Methods, systems, and devices for dynamic physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) mapping modes are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first control message identifying one or more sets of resources around which the UE may rate match for a downlink channel. In some examples, the UE may receive a second control message including an indication that the UE may perform either rate matching around at least one set of resources of the one or more sets of resources or receiving the downlink channel on the at least one set of resources. As such, the UE may receive signals on the downlink channel according to the indication received in the second control message.

Dynamic physical downlink shared channel mapping modes

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for relaying physical sidelink control channel in sidelink communications. A method that may be performed by a first user equipment (UE) includes receiving a sidelink control information (SCI) transmission from a second UE, the SCI pointing to one or more resources for a retransmission of the SCI by the second UE. The method may include transmitting the SCI to a third UE using the one or more resources for the retransmission of the SCI by the second UE.

Relaying physical sidelink control channel resources

A base station may configure a user equipment (UE) with a subset of reference signal (RS) configurations among a set of RS configurations, and transmit a plurality of RSs based on the subset of RS configurations. The RS may be a demodulation RS (DMRS). The plurality of RSs may be configured to span each of the plurality of resource elements (REs) in the active bandwidth part (BWP). The UE may receive the plurality of RSs based on the subset of RS configurations and perform a spur detection based on the plurality of RSs received based on the subset of RS configurations. Each RS configuration of the set of RS configurations may be associated with at least one of the subset of RS configurations that is associated with the plurality of RSs spanning each of the plurality of REs in the active BWP.

Methods, systems, and devices for notifying puncturing of a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a first control message identifying a set of resources used for transmissions by the base station. The UE may receive a second control message that includes an indication of a procedure used by the base station for a collision between the set of resources and a downlink channel transmitted to the first UE by the base station. In some examples, the UE may receive and decode signals on the downlink channel according to the indicated procedure.

Notification of puncturing a physical downlink shared channel

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. An access device in a network of access devices may determine that a wireless device is in a coverage area of one of the access devices based on a coverage pattern of the access devices and a sensor coupled with the access device. The access device may estimate a trajectory of the wireless device based on information obtained by the sensor. After estimating the trajectory of the wireless device, the access device may transmit an indication to one or more of the other access devices to enter (or remain in) an active state based on the trajectory of the wireless device and the coverage pattern. The indication may also include a set of beams for the other access device to activate.

Network-supported power management for base stations

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some systems may support digital post-distortion (DPoD) processing at a base station. In some such systems, a user equipment (UE) may process a data message for transmission, where a resulting signal associated with the data message includes non-linear characteristics that are handled by DPoD on the receiver-side. The non-linear characteristics may cause the signal to leak into out-of-band (OOB) resources, potentially resulting in interference. In some examples, the UE may transmit the data message to the base station in a multi-user system. To support mitigation of non-linear interference on signaling by other UEs, the UE may additionally transmit pilot signals in OOB resources (e.g., in addition to in-band resources) where the non-linearity may be expected to negatively affect other communications. The base station may use the OOB pilot signals to perform channel estimation and interference mitigation.
