A system for processing medical device data can include a processor to receive a plurality of streaming time series of medical device data from medical devices, wherein the medical device data comprises machine data. The processor can also apply a plurality of case identification rules to the plurality of streaming time series of medical device data to identify portions of the plurality of streaming time series of medical device data representing clinical cases. The processor can also execute streaming analytics to apply a plurality of event detection rules to the portions of the plurality streaming time series of medical device data to identify events within each identified clinical case. The processor can generate one or more groups for the identified events based upon predefined recipients of notifications for the identified events and transmit event notifications for each of the identified events to the predefined recipients.

Systems and methods of medical device data collection and processing

A method of ventilator control that includes receiving machine data from a mechanical ventilator and detecting one or more clinical events in the received machine data. The method further includes evaluating the machine data within the detected one or more clinical events for compliance with lung protective ventilation (LPV) recommendations. The method further includes at least one of producing a visual indication or a graphical display of the evaluated compliance with the LPV recommendations and controlling the mechanical ventilator based on the evaluated compliance with the LPV recommendations.

An example method includes storing a plurality of reusable interface and route definitions to translate and exchange data messages between source and target systems in a healthcare ecosystem; monitoring message exchanges and message patterns in the healthcare environment via a machine learning system to predict traffic and utilization patterns in the healthcare ecosystem; tracking metadata regarding connections involving the source and target systems and storing the metadata in a graph database; suggesting connections between the source and target systems based on the monitored message exchanges and message patterns and metadata from the graph database using graph analytics; provisioning an interface between the source and target systems based on a suggested connection, the interface provisioned from the reusable interface and route definitions based on the suggested connection.

An example apparatus includes a controller including a particularly programmed processor to generate a three-dimensional model for printing a three-dimensional model of a portion of a patient anatomy to form a physical avatar. The example printed three-dimensional model is formed based on image data obtained of the patient. The example controller is configured to link electronics in the physical avatar to a virtual avatar at the controller. The example virtual avatar is formed based on an electronic record for the patient. The example virtual avatar is to interact with the physical avatar via the controller according to a treatment plan. The example apparatus also includes a communication device to facilitate exchange of information between the controller and the physical avatar.

Systems and methods of control of a mechanical ventilator include receiving machine data from a mechanical ventilator. A surgical event is detected in the received machine data. Clinical events within the surgical event are detected in the machine data. The machine data and the detected plurality of clinical events are evaluated for compliance with lung protective ventilation recommendations.

Methods and systems for improving patient engagement via medical avatars

Certain examples provide systems, methods, and apparatus for patient care and support. An example three-dimensional printed model of a portion of a patient anatomy is to be formed for the patient based on image data obtained of the patient. The three-dimensional printed model includes an output device to provide an output from the three-dimensional printed model that is perceptible to the patient. The three-dimensional printed model includes a communication device to facilitate exchange of information between the three-dimensional printed model and one or more external systems. The three-dimensional printed model includes a controller to facilitate exchange of information, via the communication device, between the three-dimensional printed model and the one or more external systems. The controller is also to provide feedback to the patient via the output device with respect to a condition affecting the portion of the patient anatomy represented by the three-dimensional printed model via the output device.

Systems and methods for clinical event processing with situational awareness to dynamically facilitate a clinician's workflow are provided. An example clinical event processing and situational awareness system includes a clinical event processor including a clinical event processing engine and a routing engine to receive information regarding a clinical event from an event source and to process the information regarding the clinical event to determine a clinical situation based on the clinical event. The system also includes an event handler to enrich the processed information regarding the clinical event by adding a clinical context to the processed information from a data source. The system further includes a dispatcher to notify a user and launch an anticipated application for the user to facilitate a situational aware clinical workflow based on the enriched, processed information regarding the clinical event.

Methods and apparatus to enhance queries in an affinity domain are disclosed herein. An example method of providing a query service in an affinity domain includes receiving a query including one or more template identifiers that indicate conformance with a standard related to content of a document; generating an expression including the one or more template identifiers to define a search of a registry; performing the search of the registry according to the expression, wherein the search is configured to identify documents including the one or more template identifiers; and conveying the identified documents to an entity associated with the query.
