A system includes a Christmas tree (XT) having at least one valve, the XT being coupled to a wellbore. The system also includes a pressure boundary tool adapted to provide a secondary boundary for the XT. The pressure boundary tool includes a plug body to be positioned against a valve member of the at least one valve; a seal to be energized into a valve body of the at least one valve; and a plate arranged proximate the seal, the plate being moveable between a first position and a second position, the first position energizing the seal and a second position deenergizing the seal. The pressure boundary tool is positioned within the XT on a side of the valve member closer to the wellbore.

System and method for a secondary pressure boundary tool

A valve assembly includes a valve body and a valve member configured to translate between an open and a closed position. The valve assembly also includes a bonnet coupled to the valve body and a valve stem coupled to the valve member. The valve assembly also includes an actuator coupled to the bonnet. The actuator includes a first drive mechanism positioned to translate a first driving force to the valve stem, the first drive mechanism being in operation during a normal operating condition. The actuator also includes a second drive mechanism positioned to translate a second driving force to the valve stem, the second drive mechanism being in operation during a fail-safe operating condition.

Embodiments of the present disclosure include a valve sleeve for forming at least a portion of a valve flow passage. The valve sleeve includes a seat end having a seat face, the seat end extending at least partially into a chamber of a valve body. The valve sleeve also includes a sleeve portion coupled to the seat end and having a coupling end opposite the seat face, the coupling end comprising a retaining mechanism for removably coupling the valve sleeve to the valve body. The valve sleeve further includes an opening extending along a length of the valve sleeve, the opening forming at least a portion of the valve flow passage and having a generally circular cross section.

Valve seat replacement system and method

A valve assembly includes a valve body defining a flow passage and a body cavity perpendicular to the flow passage. A bonnet is secured to the valve body. A valve member is moveable between an open position and a closed position, the valve member blocking the flow passage in the closed position, and allowing flow through the flow passage in the open position. A valve stem is coupled to the valve member. A debris barrier circumscribes the valve stem. The debris barrier comprises a first disk shaped member with a central opening through which the valve stem is inserted, and notches that extend radially from the central opening to define petals with ends that abut the valve stem.
