Systems and methods are disclosed for providing personnel status tracking in crisis situations, using crisis communications management systems. In particular, the systems and methods implement personnel status tracking using unified crisis notification management to multiple users and event management.

Personnel status tracking system in crisis management situations

A method for managing crisis-related communications includes storing, in a repository, data regarding entities and data indicating relationships between entities. Crisis-related information items are received from a plurality of originating entities. Each crisis-related information item includes metadata attributes. For each crisis-related information item, a set of recipient entities is identified based on the metadata attributes, and the data regarding entities and the data indicating relationships between entities stored in the repository. For a particular crisis-related information item, a new message associated with the particular crisis-related information item is composed. The new message is distributed to a corresponding set of recipient entities identified for the particular crisis-related information item.

The method further securely transmits the alert initiation request and extracted metadata to one or more communication systems.

The method further makes an alert initiation request with one or more communication systems based on the extracted metadata of the alert. The method securely delivers the alert initiation request and extracted metadata to the remote communication system, which stores the metadata transiently in a second place, delivers the alert to multiple alert recipients tracks delivery progress and reports the collected alert responses back to the mobile alerting system.
