Systems and methods of mitigating precursor ISIs for communication channels having time-variant precursor channel responses using digital circuit designs. A phase adaptation circuit is utilized in a receiver and configured to generate a phase control signal responsive to an input signal and based on the current precursor channel response. The phase control signal controls the phase shift of a recovered clock to a position where the precursor ISI at h(&#x2212;1) is minimized. The phase control signal corresponds to a 'feed-forward equalization (FFE) first tap weight' obtained via a digital least-mean-square (LMS) process.

Clock phase adaptation for precursor ISI reduction

Circuit and method for resetting clock circuitry. The circuit includes a chain of cascading units, each of which receives an input of a number of parallel bit streams and outputs a different number of parallel bit streams. A chain of dividers provides one or more divided clock signals to the cascading units, wherein the divided clock signals are based on a gated common clock signal. An asynchronous reset signal is delivered to the dividers, and when asserted sets the dividers to a reset state. A clock source provides an ungated common clock signal. A clock gating circuit generates the gated common clock signal based on the ungated common clock signal, and is configured to hold the gated common clock signal while the asynchronous reset signal is asserted. The clock gating circuit provides the gated common clock signal to the dividers when the asynchronous reset signal is de-asserted.

Device and method for a multiplexor/demultiplexor reset scheme

An electronic signal level detection system and method are provided. The method receives an analog input signal having a variable voltage and compares the input signal voltage to a threshold. A detection signal is generated for input signal voltages exceeding the threshold in a periodic first time frame. In a second periodic time frame (following the first time frame), a count is updated in response to the generated detection signals. The count is used to create a metric representative of the difference between the input signal voltage and the threshold. The count is incremented in response to the generating a detection signal ('1') in the first time frame, and decremented in response to not generating a detection signal ('0') in the first time frame.

A surface covering extruded plank comprising a wall surface portion having opposed transverse end walls. Each of the end walls terminate in a support flange each of which extends in a common plane substantially parallel to the planar surface of the wall surface portion. One of the transverse end walls has a fastener concealing wall extending transverse thereto and above the wall surface portion. The other of the end walls has a plank securing flange constituted by an extension of one of the support flanges. This other end wall further has a recessed portion disposed inwardly of an edge portion of the wall surface portion. A guide rib is provided in the recessed portion and defines a rear channel for receiving a portion of the concealing wall of an adjacent plank, and a front load connector holding channel.
