A fluid vacuum pump includes a motor assembly including a single motor or multiple motors, where one motor may be configured for operation in a first medium and another motor may be configured for operation in a second medium; an impeller assembly including a single impeller, which may of a fixed or variable configuration, or multiple impellers, where one impeller may be configured for operation in a first medium and another impeller may be configured for operation in a second medium; and a linkage operatively connecting and adjustably transmitting power from the motor assembly to the impeller depending on the type of medium present.

Fluid vacuum pump

An integrated process and system for the cleaning of any body of water in need of periodic cleaning, including but not limited to a swimming pool or spa. A submersible water filtration apparatus comprises a housing unit, an impeller driven by an electric motor powered by batteries, an inlet where fluid, such as water, is drawn inwards into the submersible water filtration apparatus, an outlet for returning filtered water into the body of water, and at least one filter zone.

Submersible water filtration apparatus with multi-stage filtration

An electric-powered submersible vacuum cleaner for filtering water in a pool includes a base with an inlet port extending therethrough. A plurality of wheels extends from the lower surface of the base to facilitate movement of the cleaner over a surface of the pool. An impeller coaxially aligned with the inlet draws water and debris from the pool surface. An electric-powered drive train is coupled to the cleaner and configured to rotate the impeller. A discharge conduit in fluid communication with the inlet extends substantially normal with respect to the upper surface of the base and circumscribes the impeller to direct the flow of water/debris drawn through the inlet by the impeller. A filter mounted over the discharge conduit filters the debris from the drawn water and passes filtered water into the pool. A handle configured to facilitate manual movement of the cleaner over the pool surface.

Submersible electric-powered leaf vacuum cleaner

An electric-powered submersible pool cleaner includes a base, discharge conduit, and outwardly extending flange. The base includes an inlet port, and the discharge conduit extends upwardly from the base and circumscribes the inlet port and a portion of an electric-powered impeller to direct the flow of water and debris drawn through the inlet. The outwardly extending flange extends from an upper portion of the discharge conduit and secures a filter to filter debris and pass clean water back into the pool. The impeller includes one or more blades having leading and trailing edges and is set at a height such that the leading edges of the blades are positioned to extend into the discharge conduit below a lower portion of the outwardly extending flange and the trailing edges of the blades extend above the lower portion of the outwardly extending flange. A handle provides maneuverability of the cleaner.

A hand-held submersible aquarium power cleaner for cleaning debris from an aquarium, includes an elongated housing having an intake compartment and a filtering compartment therein. A nozzle is positioned at a front end of the housing and is in fluid communication with the intake compartment, wherein a selectively openable channel is provided between the intake compartment and the filter compartment. A filter is disposed in fluid communication with the filter compartment. A water pump assembly has an impeller rotatably connected to an electric motor, wherein the impeller is in fluid communication with the intake compartment. A power switch controls power to the electric motor so that rotation of the impeller draws aquarium water and debris through the nozzle and into the filtering compartment, where the debris is captured and retained by the filter and cleansed water is discharged into the aquarium.

Hand-held submersible aquarium power cleaner

A rechargeable robotic pool cleaning apparatus having a first water pump for providing a downward thrust force, a second water pump for providing at least a rearward thrust component, and a third water pump for providing at least a forward thrust component, the apparatus being buoyant when the pumps are not activated and including adjustable flap valves, baffles and nozzles to alter the outflow direction of at least some of the jet streams of water produced by the pumps so as to produce any one or more of a vertical, forward, rearward, and sideward thrust component depending upon the positioning of the baffles and/or nozzle members. At least one main controller is electronically coupled to a rechargeable power source for controlling the operation of the pumps in various combinations for moving the apparatus both vertically and horizontally in the body of water.

Rechargeable robotic pool cleaning apparatus

Robotic apparatus cleans swimming pools and has road and pulley wheels with belts thereon, on opposite sides and drive motors that rotate a wheel on each side to move the frame along a pool surface. Pairs of outside wheels have friction surfaces to engage pool surfaces to also moving the frame. Forward and rearward brush assemblies are driven to brush the pool surface. Oppositely facing and angled duck bill valves allow water into free volumes in the frame and are covered by a filter bag for filtering out debris under the action of a dual pump assembly that pumps water out through a pair of outlet opening in a top of the frame. A computer processor controls the drive motors and pump assembly to move the frame along programmed paths and rechargeable batteries power the drive motors, pump assembly and computer processor.
