A single-side coated light-sensitive silver halide photographic film material has been disclosed, having on one side of a subbed support, one or more light-sensitive silver halide emulsion layer(s) overcoated with an outermost protective layer; and, at the other side of said support, a backing layer, covered with a protective outermost layer, characterized in that at least said backing layer is provided with a layer wherein, besides a cross-linked or cross-linkable first binder an organic component free from cross-linking upon reaction with a hardener is present as a second binder having a low molecular weight.

A direct-to-plate flexographic printing plate precursor is disclosed including in the order given, a flexible support, a photopolymerizable layer containing an elastomeric binder, an image recording layer including a thermoplastic binder and optionally a cover layer characterized in that the image recording layer and the photopolymerizable layer can be liquefied so that they can be penetrated to a depth of at least 5% at a temperature of 110&deg; C. by a ballpoint probe having a diameter of 3 mm, which is subjected to a force of 0.1 N. A silver-containing solution is de-silvered in an electrolytic cell having an anode and a cathode. The diffusion limitation current density of the electrolytic cell is estimated by measuring a current flow there-through and silver is deposited on the cathode at a de-silvering current density which is lower than the diffusion limitation current density.

A method for the production of a radiographic screen comprising the following steps: 1) dispersing phosphor particles in an organic liquid in the presence of a charge controlling agent that charges said phosphor particles with a positive or negative net charge, 2) arranging said dispersion between a pair of electrodes, wherein one of said electrodes is or carries a conductive support of said radiographic screen, 3) applying and maintaining between said electrodes a sufficiently high direct current voltage to deposit charged phosphor particles onto said conductive support, and 4) separating said support carrying electrophoretically deposited phosphor particles from said organic liquid, wherein the dispersing of said phosphor particles proceeds by means of an organic surface active compound acting as dispersing agent for said phosphor particles, and said phosphor particles are electrostatically charged through adsorption thereon of ionic components of said organic surface active compound and/or through adsorption of cations or anions stemming from an ionic inorganic compound incorporated in said liquid.
