Disclosed is a collision warning unit configured to emit a detection signal into a surrounding area and to receive at least one signal component reflected at an object in the surrounding area, and, depending on the received signal component, to output a collision warning signal. The collision warning unit has a UWB (ultra-wideband) radar for transmitting the detection signal and receiving the reflected signal component.

A one-piece antenna module, has at least one outside receiving and/or transmitting antenna element under an outer cover. The one-piece antenna module has an antenna box, which has no or few inside internal antennas and which surrounds the electronic circuits that interact with the antenna elements. The outer cover is detachably fastened to the antenna box and can be attached so as to protrude from an opening in the vehicle roof. The antenna box is closed on all sides and can be attached below the vehicle roof by a metal top side. The metal closed top side has feed-throughs for the outside antenna elements. The outside antenna elements in the outer cover are electrically coupled to the circuits inside the antenna box closed on all sides by the feed-throughs. Thus, a compact installation part is obtained, which provides complete shielding between an antenna part and a transceiver part.

Antenna module having a transmitting and receiving antenna element

A fin-shaped multi-band antenna module, e.g., for vehicles, includes an antenna printed circuit board and a plate arranged thereupon. In a lower region the plate is mechanically connected to the antenna printed circuit board. A first monopole extends in an essentially vertical direction on the plate and is connected to the antenna printed circuit board in a lower region by a feed point. The first monopole is inductively extended in the vertical direction in an upper region of the first monopole in order to enable transmission and reception of electromagnetic waves in a lower telephone frequency range.

A turnstile antenna has two dipoles which have a galvanic contact at the crossing point. The dipoles are arranged in a geometrically asymmetrical manner with respect to the crossing point. The turnstile antenna can be arranged either in a free space or over a metal plate.

Antenna structure of a circular-polarized antenna for a vehicle

A transmission arrangement for a radio station of an access system may include a printed circuit board with an upper main surface and a first metallization plane in which conducting paths are formed. A drive circuit for supplying a frequency signal and an antenna structure are also provided. The antenna structure includes a coupling device, a conductor structure and a continuous, electrically conductive path having first and second ends opposite each other. The coupling device is configured to couple a frequency signal supplied by the drive circuit into the conductor structure. The first and/or second ends form end(s) of the conductor structure. The printed circuit board is retained at a distance from the first and/or second end by a gas or an electrically non-conductive material.

Compact antenna structure with a coupling device

An antenna structure for a vehicle may include an electrically conductive structure arranged on two insulating substrate plates that are arranged perpendicularly to each other and intersect each other. A dipole is provided on each electrically conductive structure. The dipoles form a first U-shaped dipole structure on each of the two substrate plates. On an upper edge region of each of the substrate plates, the dipole structure has a line element, and on the lateral regions of the substrate plate, the dipole structure has electrically conductive limbs. The electrically conductive structure has a monopole arranged asymmetrically to the dipole structure for respectively feeding the dipole.

A multiband shark fin antenna for a vehicle may include at least one transmitting and one receiving antenna element from the group consisting of AM/FM antennas, telephone and RKE antennas, GPS antenna, SDARS antenna, stacked patch antenna, DAP antenna, WLAN antenna, WIMAX antenna or DRM antenna. The antenna elements are disposed beneath a joint shark fin-shaped outer cover on the exterior of the vehicle. On the inside, the shark fin-shaped outer cover includes an antenna circuit board having the antenna elements disposed thereon. Electronic adjustment or amplifier circuits including a transceiver, tuner or receiver are disposed on both the upper and lower faces of the antenna circuit board. Shielding plates, which shield the adjustment or amplifier circuits with respect to the antenna elements, are disposed on the upper side of the antenna circuit board.

Highly integrated multiband shark fin antenna for a vehicle

An antenna device has a first antenna branch and a second antenna branch. Both the first and the second antenna branches have the shape of a non-closed conductor loop and are connected to each other to form a cohesive conductor loop. The respective loop ends are disposed parallel to each other at a distance directed perpendicular (z axis) to the course of the loop. The antenna device has two connections that are disposed in the center section of the cohesive conductor loop at a distance from each other.

An antenna apparatus has a first antenna branch and a second antenna branch. Both the first and the second antenna branch are in the form of a conductor loop which is not closed, and the first antenna branch is arranged at a distance from the second antenna branch in a direction which is substantially at right angles to the surface bounded by the respective conductor loop, such that the first loop direction, which is defined from the foot point to the free end of the first antenna branch, is arranged in the opposite direction to the second loop direction, which is defined from the foot point to the free end of the second antenna branch.

Multipart antenna with circular polarization

A receiving antenna with a rigid directional pattern, that is to say with an anisotropic receiving sensitivity of the receiving antenna, is used for localizing a wheel electronics unit in a wheel of the motor vehicle. Suitable evaluation of the received electromagnetic signals is provided in order to obtain a functionality achieved by way of the displacement or rotation of the directional antenna in the case of prior solutions. In this respect, a level of the received electromagnetic signal is compared with a predefined threshold value. As the result of the comparison, the wheel electronics unit is localized as being arranged in a wheel of the first wheel group or as being arranged in a wheel of the second wheel group.
