A lubricant fitting unit is for supplying lubricant to an item of equipment and includes a housing connectable with the item of equipment and providing a lubricant flow path fluidly coupleable with the item of equipment. A lubricant flowmeter is connected to the lubricant flow path and measures lubricant flow through the flow path. The fitting unit preferably includes an integrated condition monitoring system coupled to the housing, which preferably includes a temperature sensor and/or a vibration sensor. Further, the fitting unit also preferably includes a wireless data transmission device for transmitting signals received from the integrated condition monitoring system to a controller device. Also, the fitting unit may include an energy harvester mounted within the lubricant flow path for converting a portion of the kinematic energy of the lubricant flowing through the lubricant flow path into power for recharging a power unit of the monitoring device.

A system for executing a lubrication plan including a grease meter for measuring a volumetric flow of grease through the meter. The grease meter having a memory for storing a set of instructions that includes a series of prescribed grease volumes be delivered at a corresponding series of lubrication points, a memory for storing a volume of grease delivered at a particular lubrication point and is configured to communicate with the display device. A display device includes a memory for storing an image of each lubrication point in the series, each image being a photograph of the machine that has the lubrication point. The machine is configured to display each image along with the prescribed grease volume to be delivered at the corresponding lubrication point. The displayed image of a further lubrication point in the series image is triggered by the grease meter when a delivered volume is stored.

System and method for executing a lubrication plan

A method of executing a lubrication plan for lubricating a plurality of machines with grease is provided. Each machine includes one or more lubrication points where grease is delivered. The method defines a set of instructions for the lubrication plan, including at least a series of prescribed grease volumes to be delivered at a corresponding series of lubrication points; generating an image of each lubrication point in the series, including a visual indication of the location of that lubrication point on the machine; storing the set of instructions and each generated image in a system including a grease meter and a display device; displaying a generated image of a lubrication point on the display device, including the prescribed grease volume be delivered there; delivering grease at that lubrication point via the grease meter, displaying a generated image of a further lubrication point, including the prescribed grease volume be delivered there.

The invention relates to a lubricating device that includes a lubricant pump, a lubricant reservoir for supplying lubricant to a machine to be lubricated, a control unit for determining an operating state of a machine and for operating the lubricant pump based on the signals of at least one sensor configured to detect emissions emanating from the machine to be lubricated, and a housing configured to be attached to a lubrication nozzle of the machine to be monitored. It is proposed that a reading of the signals of the sensor by the control unit is limited to a predetermined set of time windows with a predetermined width, wherein the time windows are separated by an interval where the signals of the sensor are not read.

The outlet opening is provided at a first end of the lubricant container () for releasing the lubricant. The present invention relates to a lubrication device for gas pressure-driven lubrication of a lubrication point. The device comprises a lubricant container provided at a first end with an outlet opening and is covered at a second end by a combination of a collar and an insert received within the collar and wherein the collar and the insert are relatively rotatable. The device further comprises gas generation means housed within one of the collar or the insert. The insert is provided with a groove having a contact surface forming a mechanical interlock with one or more catches of the collar, and the device comprises a release position of the insert relative to the collar, in which a force required to disengage the mechanical interlock is lower than at non-release positions, so that the insert can be removed to gain access to the gas generation means for separate disposal thereof.

The present invention relates to a protective cap () for a grease nipple. The protective cap comprises a removable cap portion () with an internal cavity () that is shaped to fit over and enclose a nipple head of the grease nipple, and comprises an attachment portion () that is adapted to remain attached to the grease nipple when the cap portion is removed. According to the invention, the attachment portion () of the protective cap () comprises a plurality of through holes () each of which has a unique diameter.
