An LED assembly includes electrical connectors mounted to an LED board each having a connector housing having contact channels holding plug contacts and receptacle contacts arranged in the connector housing to form a hermaphroditic mating interface. The plug contacts have male mating ends configured to be plugged into female mating ends of receptacle contacts of a mating LED assembly. The receptacle contacts have female mating ends configured to receive male mating ends of plug contacts of the mating LED assembly.

LED assembly having hermaphroditic electrical connectors

A battery terminal connector assembly for attaching to a terminal post of a battery includes a biasing portion and a post engagement portion. The biasing portion has a first terminal post receiving opening. A biasing wall extends about a circumference of the first terminal post receiving opening. The post engagement portion has a second terminal post receiving opening for receiving the battery terminal post therein. Engagement walls extend about a circumference of the second terminal post receiving opening. The biasing portion is movable relative to the post engagement portion between a first insertion position and a second termination position. As the biasing portion is moved from the first insertion position to the second termination position, the biasing wall engages the engagement walls and moves the engagement walls into mechanical and electrical engagement with the battery terminal post positioned in the second terminal receiving opening of the post engagement portion.

Battery terminal

A battery terminal connector assembly includes a first post engagement portion and a second post engagement portion. The first post engagement portion has a first opening for receiving the battery terminal post therein. The second post engagement portion has a second opening for receiving the battery terminal post therein. The first post engagement portion is movable relative to the second post engagement portion and the first post engagement portion and the second post engagement portion are movable relative to the battery terminal post as the first post engagement portion and the second post engagement portion are moved between a first insertion position and a second termination position.

Wedge battery terminal

A mounting frame and an LED assembly. The mounting frame has a mounting opening which extends from a first surface of the mounting frame toward a second surface of the mounting frame. Centering ribs are provided about a circumference of the mounting opening. The centering ribs are spaced from the first surface. Retention projections are provided about the circumference of the mounting opening. The retention projections are spaced from the centering ribs.

Mounting fixture for mounting an LED connector assembly

An embodiment is directed to a sealed tailgate handle assembly having a housing and a circuit board positioned in the housing. A switch is positioned in the housing and is configured to complete an electrical circuit path on the circuit board. Resin material encompasses the circuit board, with the resin material configured to seal the connection between the circuit board and the switch. An inner cover is movable between an initial position and a second position. A resilient member extends between the inner cover and the resin material. An outer cover has a deformable upper wall. Upon an application of a force to the upper wall, the inner cover is moved from an initial position to the second position, causing the inner cover to engage the switch, causing the switch to complete an electrical circuit path on the circuit board to release a tailgate.

Sealed tailgate handle assembly

An electrical connector assembly having a first housing, a second housing and a lever member. The first housing includes lever retention arms with holding projections. The second housing is matable with the first housing and has latch release projections and mating posts. The lever member is rotatably attached to the first housing to rotate from a first position to a second position. The lever member includes securing members and post engaging members. The securing members are configured to cooperate with the holding projections of the lever retention arms when the first housing is in the initial position to retain the lever member in the first position. The latch release projections are configured to release the holding projections of the lever retention arms from the securing members as the first housing is moved toward the final position, allowing the lever member to rotate to its second position.

Lever release for lever mated connector assembly

A connector assembly having a connector housing with a terminal receiving area. The terminal receiving area is spaced from outside walls of the connector housing and has a secondary lock receiving recess and terminal receiving cavities. A secondary lock member is slidably received in the secondary lock receiving recess for movement between a first position and a second position. The secondary lock member cooperates with terminals positioned in the terminal receiving cavities when the secondary lock member is in the second position. The secondary lock member has a resilient positioning member extending from a first wall of the secondary lock member in a direction away from the terminal receiving area. The resilient positioning member is configured to engage a mating component and compress when the mating component is inserted into the connector housing.

Connector assembly with independent secondary lock with resilient positioning member

An electrical connector having a housing, a seal and a retainer. The housing includes a component receiving opening which extends through a mating end. The housing is molded from a first material. The seal is provided in the component receiving opening and is integrally molded in the component receiving opening of the housing, the seal being molded from a second material which is different than the first material. The retainer is positioned proximate the mating end and is integrally molded to the housing. The retainer cooperates with a mating component to retain the mating component in the component receiving opening.

One piece connector with integral latching members

A connector assembly including a housing and a cover. The cover including a locking member receiving portion and a lever retaining portion. A lever rotatable between an unlatched position and a latched position is provided. The lever is positioned in the lever retaining portion when the lever is in the latched position. A locking member is movably retained in the locking member receiving portion. The locking member is moveable between an unlocked position and a locked position. A portion of the locking member is positioned in the lever retaining portion when the locking member is in the locked position. The locking member engages the lever when the locking member is in the locked position to properly secure the lever in the latched position and to ensure continuous latching of the connector assembly.
