The invention relates to an injection device for injecting a selectable dose of a liquid substance from an ampoule, located in an ampoule holder, comprising a piston and a sleeve-shaped mechanism holder, mechanically coupled thereto, in the interior of which a longitudinally shiftable shaft is provided which acts on the ampoule.

Injection device

An injection device for injecting a preselectable dose of a liquid substance from an ampoule (,) with a stopper (,) located in an ampoule-holder (,) has a sleeve-shaped mechanism holder (,) mechanically linked to the stopper (,) and containing a sliding rod (,) which acts on the ampoule (,). The sliding rod (,) is surrounded by a sliding sleeve (,) mechanically coupled to the ampoule (,) and closed at its upper end by a lid (,). A dosing sleeve (,) is provided with a stepped member (,) arranged at the upper end of the mechanism holder (,) to preselect the dose of liquid substance to be injected. The dose to be administered can be adjusted by turning the dosing sleeve (,) provided with the stepped member (,).

A pharmaceutical container and inhaler device having a mouthpiece and a cap which are rotatably connected to each other. For providing a certain child-resistance against disconnection, the mouthpiece has an external circumferential groove, whereas the cap is provided with an internal boss for engagement with the groove. There is an axial notch extending from the groove to the end of the mouthpiece and 'traps' for the boss, in the form of recesses on the groove, are provided at either side of the notch.

Pharmaceutical container and inhaler device

A piston rod for use in an injection device for an injection cartridge is provided with a single or multiple thread along a predetermined portion of its length, after which the thread changes into a longitudinal groove for each thread, such that a turning movement of the piston rod will turn into an axial movement after the predetermined length. The thread is shaped as one or more helicoidal grooves in the surface of the piston rod, the grooves turning into the longitudinal grooves after the predetermined length. A nut element cooperates with the thread and includes at least one radial inwardly directed projection for each thread, the projection or projections guiding the piston rod by the groove or grooves forming the thread.
