A touch-sensitive apparatus includes a light-transmissive panel having a front surface, an opposite rear surface, and a side edge connecting the front and rear surfaces, and a light-transmissive sheet laminated over the front surface of the light-transmissive panel. The light-transmissive sheet has a portion extending beyond the side edge of the light-transmissive panel to cover a light emitter and detector. The touch-sensitive apparatus further includes a shielding element on a lower surface of the light-transmissive sheet, the shielding element covering at least said light emitter and detector, and the shielding element blocking light having a wavelength range in which the light emitter outputs light. The lower surface of the light-transmissive sheet is in optical contact with the front surface of the light-transmissive panel.

A vibrator assembly includes an electric motor, a shaft driven by the motor, and a cylindrical weight coaxially positioned on the shaft free end, wherein the cylindrical weight has a center of gravity that is radially offset from the shaft axis. When the vibrator assembly is installed within an electronic device, the cylindrical shape of the weight limits the amount of shaft deflection that can occur when the electronic device is dropped or subjected to other impact forces.

A space-efficient card reader for various electronic devices includes a plurality of adjacent, spaced-apart electrical connector pins extending outwardly from a portion of a printed circuit board (PCB) in an electronic device. A cover is configured to overlie the PCB portion, and includes a plurality of adjacent, spaced-apart apertures formed therein. Each aperture is configured to receive a respective one of the connector pins therethrough when the cover is in a secured position overlying the PCB portion. A receptacle is secured to an outer surface of the cover, and is configured to removably receive a card therein such that electrical contacts on the card make contact with the connector pins extending through the apertures in the cover.

The present invention relates to a radio communication terminal comprising a first casing, a second casing and a slider mechanism, comprising a slider and a base, the slider is mounted on either one of the first casing and the second casing and the base is mounted on the other of the first casing and the second casing, wherein the first casing is adapted to be moved in relation to the second casing in a first and a second direction between at least a first and a second position, and wherein said first and second directions are situated in a two dimensional plane.

A cable includes a sheath extending a length of the cable. The cable further includes a flexible wire disposed within the sheath that runs a substantial portion of the length of the cable. The wire acts to fold the cable in a pre-defined configuration. In some implementations, the cable also includes magnets disposed on or within the sheath. The magnets act to fold the cable in the pre-defined configuration in conjunction with the flexible wire.

Shield cans and methods for manufacturing such are presented. The shield cans include a plastic housing, a conductive inlay, and a conductive gasket. The shield cans are manufactured using a multi-k procedure in one single mould. The mould includes of a fixed mould part and a rotary mould part having projections and recesses. A conductive inlay is placed on one projection and the plastic housing formed on one side of the inlay. The rotary mould part is rotated, after which the gasket is formed on the side of the inlay opposite the housing.
