The present invention provides a compound of formula (I); or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, the use of a compound of formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in the inhibition of c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) activity and the use in medicine and particularly in the treatment of neurodegenerative disorders, inflammatory diseases and/or and autoimmune diseases. 7-Azaindole derivatives and their use in the inhibition of c-Jun N-terminal kinase

Use of 7-azaindoles in the inhibition of c-Jun N-terminal kinase

The present invention provides a novel substituted azaindoline intermediate of formula (I) and a method for its synthesis. The novel substitued azaindoline intermediate (I) is provided for use in the manufacture of 5-substituted 7-azaindolines and 5-substituted 7-azaindoles.
