A system includes a surface, a display screen positioned adjacent to the surface, and a selectively retractable screen cover positioned at the surface adjacent the display screen. The selectively retractable screen cover including a door member rotatably mounted relative to the surface between a first stop, wherein the display screen is fully exposed and a second stop, wherein only the display screen is only partially exposed, the door member including a door pivot. An actuating fork includes a first tine element, a second tine element, and a connector portion defining an axis of rotation. The door pivot is slidingly received between the first tine element and the second tine element. A motor includes a shaft connected to the actuating fork. The motor rotates the shaft to shift the door member between the first stop and the second stop.

Selectively retractable screen cover for a vehicle

A door latch for a motor vehicle compartment includes a latch pawl having a locked position and an unlocked position, the locked position preventing access to the compartment, the unlocked position providing access to the compartment, and an actuator that rotates about a first pivot point. The actuator selectively engages with the latch pawl to move the latch pawl from the locked position to the unlocked position.

Methods and apparatus are provided for a console assembly for a vehicle. The apparatus comprises a console structure and a movable structure that is supported for movement in and out from the console structure. Additionally, the console assembly includes a cup holder structure that is supported by the movable structure. The cup holder structure includes a cup holder that is supported for movement by the movable structure between a retracted position and an extended position. The cup holder is configured to remain substantially in the retracted position as the movable structure moves between a first position and a second position. The cup holder is configured to move between the retracted position and the extended position as the movable structure moves between the second position and a third position.

An assembly for a vehicle includes a bin defining a compartment with an access opening. A lid at least partially covers the access opening when in a closed position. A single cross bar is adjacent the lid. The cross bar is pivotably attached to the bin near a first end of the cross bar and is pivotably attached to the lid near a second end of the cross bar. Latching mechanisms releasably latch the lid to the bin and the single cross bar. The lid is releasably latched only to the bin and the single cross bar. The lid is pivotable in a first direction to a first open position, and is alternately pivotable in a second direction to a second open position. A first biasing mechanism biases the lid to the first open position. A second biasing mechanism biases the lid to the second open position.
