A vertical door locking system includes a door lock with a deadbolt that moves horizontally, a striker with an upward facing strike opening that vertically receives the deadbolt and a lock controller. The striker includes an electrically operated catch to engage and release the deadbolt. The door lock and striker are mounted opposite each other, one to the vertical door and the other to an adjacent fixed mounting point. The lock controller electrically operates the striker to release the deadbolt and allow it to move vertically out of engagement with the striker for primary access to a secure area and the door lock allows the deadbolt to be retracted horizontally away from the striker for secondary access. A remotely located control system optionally controls the lock controllers of multiple doors and a central office control system is optionally connected to multiple remotely located control systems.

Vertical door locking system

A remote operated circuit breaker assembly has at least one circuit breaker, a remote module for remotely operating the circuit breaker and an actuator tie pin. Each circuit breaker includes a circuit breaker enclosure of generally rectangular shape having one side and an opposing side, and a circuit breaker actuator link pivotally mounted inside the circuit breaker enclosure. The remote module includes a module housing mounted to the one side of the circuit breaker enclosure and having a shape generally congruent with the circuit breaker enclosure. A motor is disposed in the module housing, a module actuator is pivotally mounted inside the module housing and a gear means couples the motor to the module actuator. The actuator tie pin connects the circuit breaker actuator link to the module actuator within the interior of the circuit breaker enclosure and the module housing. The actuator tie pin is received in aligned slots defined by the abutting circuit breaker enclosure side and module housing side.

Remote operated circuit breaker module

A dimmer switch assembly includes a housing for supporting and enclosing the assembly components. A dimmer adjusting element is mounted on the housing and has a movable portion for movement in first and second directions. An elongated flexible triggering member has a first longitudinal end coupled to the movable portion of the dimmer adjusting element and a second longitudinal end provided in a socket defined by the housing. First and second detectors are spaced from and arranged opposite to one another. The elongated member is interposed between the detectors such that movement of the dimmer adjusting element in the first direction flexes the elongated member toward to activate the first detector, and movement of the dimmer adjusting element in the second direction flexes the elongated member toward to activate the second detector. The detectors have signals associated respectively therewith which are generated by the detectors when the detectors are activated by the triggering device. A dimmer control circuit has as inputs the signals from the first and the second detectors for adjusting a dimmer intensity output signal to decrease the intensity of a light source when the first detector is activated, and to increase the intensity of the light source when the second detector is activated.
