Insecticidal mixtures of bifenthrin and chlorantraniliprole

Compositions are provided that include a new Bacillus thuringiensis strain designated RTI545 for use in benefiting plant growth and controlling plant pests. In particular, the RTI545 strain is useful for controlling plant nematode, insect and fungal pests. The compositions include plant seeds coated with the RTI545 strain. The compositions can be applied alone or in combination with other microbial, biological, or chemical insecticides, fungicides, nematicides, bacteriocides, herbicides, plant extracts, plant growth regulators, or fertilizers. In one example, enhanced growth and insect control are provided by delivering at the time of planting a combination of a chemical insecticide such as bifenthrin and a liquid fertilizer to plants or seeds treated with RTI545.

RTI545 compositions and methods of use for benefiting plant growth and controlling plant pests

Compositions are provided that include a newstrain designated RTI545 for use in benefiting plant growth and controlling plant pests. In particular, the RTI545 strain is useful for controlling plant nematode, insect and fungal pests. The compositions include plant seeds coated with the RTI545 strain. The compositions can be applied alone or in combination with other microbial, biological, or chemical insecticides, fungicides, nematicides, bacteriocides, herbicides, plant extracts, plant growth regulators, or fertilizers. In one example, enhanced growth and insect control are provided by delivering at the time of planting a combination of a chemical insecticide such as bifenthrin and a liquid fertilizer to plants or seeds treated with RTI545.

Microparticles comprising (a) a water-soluble solid organothiophosphate, (b) one or more odor-absorbing components, and (c) one or more odor-masking components are disclosed, as well as a method of making the microparticles, and odor-reduced insecticidal formulations comprising the microparticles. The microparticles and formulations can also contain other crop protection agents. Odor-reduced insecticidal formulations comprising (a) a pyrethroid, (b) an organothiophosphate, (c) one or more odor-absorbing components, and (d) one or more odor-masking components are also disclosed. Additionally disclosed is a method of reducing the odor of an organothiophosphate-containing formulation by incorporating one or more odor-absorbing components and one or more odor-masking components.

It has now been found that certain novel N-(substituted aryl)-4-(disubstituted methyl)piperidine and pyridine derivatives have provided unexpected insecticidal activity. These compounds are represented by formula (I): wherein m, n, q, r, and s are independently selected from 0 or 1; and p is 0, 1, 2, or 3; A is C or CH; and B, D, E, R, R, R, R, R, R, R, Rand Rare fully described herein. In addition, compositions comprising an insecticidally effective amount of at least one compound of formula I, and optionally, an effective amount of at least one of a second compound, with at least one insecticidally compatible carrier are also disclosed; along with methods of controlling insects comprising applying said compositions to a locus where insects are present or are expected to be present.
