Embodiments of this application disclose a folding mechanism and a mobile terminal. The folding mechanism includes a bracket and two support assemblies, with the two support assemblies respectively located on two sides of the bracket in a width direction. The support assembly includes a first support, a second support, and a swing arm, with the second support and the swing arm located on a same side of the first support. Because the second support and the first support are slidably connected rather than pivotally connected, the second support and the first support can be considered as one telescopic rod as a whole. Therefore, the bracket, the second support, the first support, and the swing arm form an equivalent three-rod linkage mechanism. In comparison with the related art, one linkage rod is saved, shortening a tolerance chain, which helps reducing a total tolerance of the folding mechanism.

In the synchronization mechanism, a first rotating component and a second rotating component are in transmission connection by using a first worm, a worm gear, and a second worm that are sequentially meshed, thereby implementing the synchronous rotation of the first rotating component and the second rotating component relative to a base. In addition, when the synchronization mechanism is applied to the foldable terminal, since an axial direction of the worm gear and a radial direction of the first worm and the second worm are consistent with a thickness direction of the body, and an axial size of the worm gear and radial sizes of the first worm and the second worm are relatively small, which is conducive to the light and thin design of the foldable terminal.

A projection of the first region of the support layer on the first panel layer overlaps with a projection of a display driver chip on the first panel layer. After being stacked, the thickness of the screen module may be reduced to meet the user's requirement for a small thickness of an electronic device.

A screen chip and a screen outlet line are located on a first side of the middle frame, a battery is located on a second side of the middle frame, and the screen chip is laminated to a large surface of the screen outlet line. To avoid contact between the middle frame and the screen chip, the middle frame hole accommodates the screen chip, a protruding height of the screen chip relative to the large surface of the screen outlet line is less than a thickness of the middle frame hole, and a distance between the screen chip and the battery is greater than an avoidance distance of the screen chip. The screen chip is prevented from moving downward to be in contact with the middle frame when a user presses the display, thereby avoiding damage.

One end of the first swing arm is hinged to the base, the other end of the first swing arm is provided with a first sliding member, and the first sliding member is slidably connected inside the first guide sliding slot and the second guide sliding slot.

A curved screen assembly includes a curved display screen, a first supporting component and a middle frame. The curved display screen has a first arc-shaped face and a second arc-shaped face. The middle frame is provided with a second supporting face, wherein the second supporting face matches the second arc-shaped face in outline.
