A method for performing video processing within a video display system includes: detecting whether dropping at least one frame is required; and when it is detected that dropping the at least one frame is required, removing at least one flip command from a command queue and selectively removing at least one video processing command from the command queue. An associated video processing circuit and an associated video display system are also provided. In particular, the video processing circuit is positioned within the video display system, where the video processing circuit includes a hardware module and a controller, and the controller operates according to the method.

A graphics processing method, which is applied to a plurality of buffers at least including a first buffer served as an on-screen buffer and a second buffer served as an on-drawing buffer, includes the steps of: sending a drawing command related to the second buffer to a drawing engine; when the drawing command related to the second buffer are received, drawing graphic data stored in the second buffer; sending an asynchronous flush command related to the second buffer to the drawing engine in order to confirm whether the drawing command related to the second buffer is completed; flushing the second buffer; and after the second buffer is flushed, sending a first notice signal to notify a display engine that the second buffer is capable of being flipped.

Graphics processing method applied to a plurality of buffers and graphics processing apparatus thereof

A method for performing video display control within a video display system includes: dynamically utilizing two of a plurality of buffers as on-screen buffers for three-dimensional (3D) frames, wherein the plurality of buffers is positioned within the video display system; and during utilizing any of the two of the plurality of buffers as an on-screen buffer, dynamically utilizing at least one other buffer of the plurality of buffers as at least one off-screen buffer for at least one 3D frame. An associated video processing circuit and an associated video display system are also provided. In particular, the video processing circuit is positioned within the video display system, where the video processing circuit operates according to the method.
