A stacked electrical connector has an insulative housing (), a plurality of signal contacts () and a pair of contacts () retained in the housing. The housing defines a mounting surface () for mounting on a printed circuit board and a receiving space () for receiving a mating plug (). The switch contact includes a base portion retained in the housing and a spring arm extending from the base portion. An insulative separator () is formed on one spring arm and projects into the receiving space. The separator is moveable in a plane vertical to the mounting surface. When the mating plug inserts into the receiving space, the separator rotates and drives one switch contact to connect with the other switch contact.

Electrical connector

An optical-electric connector () has an insulative housing (), a plurality of contacts () received in the housing, and an optical-electric converter () assembled in the housing. The housing defines a receiving space () for receiving a mating plug and a plurality of passageways () for receiving the contacts. One of the resilient contacts forms an elastic contacting arm () extending into the receiving space and a retention section (). A coil spring () is assembled between the retention section and the elastic contacting arm. The retention section of the contact securely holds the coil spring in its place.

Optical-electric connector with improved contact having coil spring

An electrical connector () has an insulative housing () having a D-shaped mating portion (), a number of first and second contacts () received in the housing, and a metal shell () surrounds the mating portion of the housing. An inner printed circuit board () is assembled to the housing and connects the first and second contacts. The first and second contacts are electrical connecting with a complementary connector and an outer printed circuit board, respectively. The housing of the connector further has a pair of flanges () and a receiving space () defined between the flanges. The inner PCB defines a set of filter devices received in the receiving space.

Electrical connector with a set-in printed circuit board

An electrical connector () mounted on a circuit board is provided for mating with an electric device. The electrical connector includes a dielectric housing () having a terminal passage (), a pair of conductive contact elements () received in the housing, and a fixing pad () connecting the circuit board. Each conductive contact element includes a base portion () positioned in the terminal passage, a tail portion () arranged on one side of the housing for connecting with a circuit board, a contacting portion () which serves for contacting the electric device, and a spring portion () connecting the contacting portion resiliently to the base portion. The fixing pad is fixed to the other side of the housing for providing balanced force acted on the electrical connector during mating with the electric device.

Electrical connector having resilient contacts

A card connector includes an insulating housing defining at least two adjacent card cavities; a number of card contacts are retained in the housing and divided into at least two groups to expose to corresponding card cavities; and at least one controlling member is disposed on the housing between the two card cavities, and a stopper is deflected between the two car cavities and protruding into one card cavity once a card inserted into the other car cavity, and a resilient portion is for urging the stopper to resume its original position once the card withdrew from the other cavity.

Card connector

A memory card connector () includes an insulative housing (), a housing shield () enclosing the housing and a circuit module () with a plurality of conductive terminals. The insulative housing includes a generally U-shape body portion (). The insulative housing has a first and second locking barbs () in a side thereof. The housing shield is composed of an upper and a lower cover plates (). The lower cover plate forms an upwardly bent first latch portion () for engaging with the first locking barb of the housing. The upper cover plate forms a downwardly bent second latch portion () for latching the second locking barb of the housing, thereby securely holding the housing in the shield.

Memory card connector

An electrical connector () has a first port () with a number of first terminals () received therein, a second port () with a number of second terminals () received therein, a number of third terminals () located between the first and second terminals and a moveable port switch () assembled to the first and second ports. Each of said first and second terminals defines a tail portion () extending outside the first and second ports, respectively. The port switch can drive the tail portions of the first and second terminals to electrically connect with the third terminals, respectively and alternately.

Stacked electrical connector

A jack () connector comprises an insulating housing (), a plurality of different contacts (), (), (), (), and an optical device (). The insulative housing comprises a mating portion (), a mounting portion (), side portions (), and a cavity space (). The mating portion defines an opening () extending therethrough and communicating with the cavity space. The contacts are retained in the insulative housing, each contact having an upper end received in the cavity space and a tail end. The optical device is installed in the insulative housing and has an engaging portion for contacting an optical fiber plug connector, and a number of tail portions. A first distance between the engaging portion and the mating portion is longer than a second distance between the upper end of the contact and the mating portion.

Multi-function jack connector

An electrical connector () includes an insulative housing (), a plurality of conductive contacts () being received in the insulative housing and a metal shield () enclosing the housing. The insulative housing includes a base portion () and a tongue portion () forwardly extending from the base portion. The tongue portion defines a plurality of channels () in a bottom surface thereof. The base portion defines a pair of notches () adjacent to the channels. The conductive contacts includes four first conductive contacts () being received in the channels and dual second conductive contacts () being received in the notches.

Electronic card with improved shielding structure

An electrical connector includes an insulative housing (), an insulative carrier (), a spring () and a pair of conductive contacts (). The insulative housing has a base () and a periphery wall enclosing therearound and defines a cavity therein. The base has a post () formed thereon. The carrier engages with the insulative housing and has a projection () formed on an upper surface thereof. The spring couples with the post and abuts the carrier. The conductive contacts are received in the cavity and each includes a contacting portion () extending upwardly and engaging with the projection.

The outer shell defines a pair of concaves () and a pair of resilient grounding tabs () extending upwardly therefrom for contacting with a metal panel of a personal computer to establish ground connections. The inner shell surrounds the partition with a pair of tangs () engaging in the concaves of the outer shell.
